Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.
- Hold a current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
- Have a minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage.
- Be willing to travel daily for home visits within the service area.
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning abilities.
- Have knowledge of medical terminology and home health regulations.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Have organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be comfortable working in varied home environments.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ functional abilities and design personalized treatment plans and adaptive strategies to support independence and safety.
- Build and execute care plans to help patients regain skills for everyday living and remain in their homes.
- Provide education, hands-on training, and encouragement to patients and their families as patients progress toward greater confidence and independence.
- Work one-on-one with patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary care team.
