ServerFarm provides data center capacity as a service, owning and operating data centers and leasing capacity to customers as a managed service. Its offering works by acquiring data center properties and, through its InCommand software for remote management, enabling customers to consume IT infrastructure like a utility rather than owning capital-intensive facilities. The company differentiates itself through an asset-backed, real estate–driven model that scales via acquisitions (e.g., 5NINES Global Holdings) and strategic partnerships, giving it a global footprint across North America, Europe, and Israel, with an integrated approach to owning facilities and delivering managed services. Its goal is to grow a portfolio of modern, high-capacity data centers to meet rising demand for digital infrastructure, supported by partnerships with large investors (such as Manulife Investment Management) to accelerate expansion.
