Lokar Performance Products

View

Lokar Performance Products designs and manufactures performance automotive parts in-house for hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, and race cars. Its lineup includes automatic transmission shifters, throttle cables, pedal assemblies, dipsticks, and emergency brakes, all made in the USA with a lifetime warranty; products are developed from design through prototyping to production and sold via national and international distributors. The company differentiates itself by owning the full development-to-production process and by expanding through selective acquisitions like Clayton Machine Works, Lecarra Steering Wheels, and Made-4-You Products. Its goal is to provide durable, high-quality US-made parts for street rods and racers while growing its global distribution and maintaining strong design, engineering, and warranty support.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Lokar launched Modern Classic in 2026, expanding classic-look kits beyond LS engines.
  • A June 2026 careers page and August 2026 Magento posting show digital investment.
  • Made-4-You production already runs from Knoxville, improving margin and supply control.

What critics are saying

  • Lokar's 11-50 employee footprint limits software, inventory, and channel scale.
  • Modern Classic still depends on internal-combustion hobbyists, not EV replacement parts.
  • Brand sprawl across six lines complicates integration and confuses buyers by 2026.

What makes Lokar Performance Products unique

  • Lokar's in-house U.S. manufacturing and lifetime warranty build trust with restorers.
  • The 2026 Modern Classic rename broadens LS Classic across ten engine styles.
  • Lokar owns niche brands Clayton, Lecarra, Covico, CON2R, and Made-4-You.
