Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • An Engineer-in-Training certification is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • At least two years of experience utilizing AutoCAD for engineering design is required.
  • A basic understanding of wastewater treatment principles is required.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • The candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities and complete assignments effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Develop technical specifications, design calculations, and process flow diagrams for water and wastewater projects.
  • Assist with planning and designing municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Support the design and permitting of wastewater pump station projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout project development.
  • Assist with permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • Review and refine project designs to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Support project delivery efforts to meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Experience designing pump stations and municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities is preferred.
  • Experience with permitting processes and client/contractor coordination is a plus.
  • BioWin experience is preferred but not required.
