  • Experience managing applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment across on-premises and public-cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Experience executing processes within the Information Technology Infrastructure Library framework.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience operating middleware in enterprise production environments, including IBM MQ administration and incident response in secure environments.
  • Strong problem-determination skills and a structured troubleshooting approach, with the ability to perform under time pressure while maintaining operational discipline.
  • Working knowledge of Unix and/or Windows system administration, including processes, filesystems, certificate stores, and basic networking fundamentals relevant to IBM MQ connectivity.

  • Define and improve service health indicators, operational thresholds, and actionable alerting using reliability-engineering practices to reduce alert noise and improve time to detect and recover.
  • Maintain operational runbooks, standards, and controls that enable consistent execution across a geographically distributed operations model.
  • Reduce operational toil through automation, including scripted remediation, self-service operational workflows, and repeatable change execution such as certificate lifecycle management, configuration validation, and routine health checks.
  • Contribute to blameless post-incident reviews, track corrective actions to closure, and verify their effectiveness through measurable outcome improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and responsive support to application teams integrating with IBM MQ, including connection patterns, security constraints, and operational best practices.
  • Provide incident response for high-severity events and coordinate maintenance or resilience-testing windows.

Desired Qualifications
