About the team:

We are looking for a Liability Claims expert to join us as part of our Claims team.

What you’ll do:

• You will take the lead on claim consultations with our liability insurance partners, for claims within primary coverage levels. 
• You will participate in organizing claim reviews, to review targeted cases, compile feedback and provide coaching and performance feedback to our liability partners.
• You will review claims data to measure and track account performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities. 
• You will work closely with other teams at Turo- product, GR, accounting, analytics and others to take what is observed on claims into actionable changes in the marketplace. 
• You will work closely with the Turo protection team, to develop best practices, improve workflow and efficiency
• Audit invoicing from our carriers for handling and paid claims to ensure accuracy
• Identify and drive ongoing improvements to our policies and procedures to improve outcomes and the claims experience to our customers
• Strong communication skills 

Your profile: 

• 6+ years’ experience in auto injury claims, with a strong understanding on effectively managing auto claims litigation in a multi state territory. 
• Strong claims legal knowledge of relevant legislation and case laws in a multi state jurisdiction. 
• Must be a team player, with positive mental attitude, high energy, high integrity, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a commitment to the mission
• Strong proficiency with technology such as: Claims Management systems, CRM systems, Google Docs, MS Office, mobile systems. Mac expertise a plus

• Be a subject-matter expert for liability claims within Turo and aiding the Turo internal team to understand liability claim workflows and referral processes.

The Austin base salary target range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $85,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in this location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
