Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical degree, plus 3 years of experience; alternatively, an Associate's degree plus 5 years of experience; or a high school diploma plus 7 years of experience in production, engineering, or troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience owning or qualifying manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to identify and implement best practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of document control, design transfer, verification, validation, acceptance activity, Device Master Record, Device History Record, and electronic signature requirements.
  • Compliance with the applicable quality manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, quality goals, laws, and regulations.
  • Completion of planned quality and compliance training within defined deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and report quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Responsibilities
  • Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective advanced manufacturing solutions, and overseeing their implementation into production.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing leadership to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems involving methods, processes, tooling, equipment, and product design.
  • Monitor and improve productivity using Lean Six Sigma or related tools while meeting customer commitments in a timely, cost-conscious, and high-quality manner.
  • Ensure early focus on manufacturability in new product programs.
  • Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development, and Quality Management System Design Transfer execution.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance through qualification and validation by determining processes requiring validation, developing plans and analysis criteria, executing activities, and completing final analysis and acceptance.
  • Simplify Quality Management System methods and applications by working with cross-functional Operations and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Work with facilities and maintenance teams to implement changes and ensure required product capacity is available before customer demand requires it.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's or PhD in a technical concentration or field.
  • Seven or more years of industrial experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Six Sigma DMAIC and DFSS certification.
  • Experience in process-intensive manufacturing.
  • Product and process development experience.
  • Working knowledge of GE HealthCare Quality Management System procedures for Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience developing tools and templates.
  • Program or project management skills.
  • Experience owning production processes and increasing capability in yield and quality.
  • Experience working with global teams.
