Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field is required.
  • Five to ten years of experience in embedded development, wireless communications, signal processing, or a related field is required.
  • Understanding of embedded systems, digital signal processors, multicore environments, and real-time constraints is required.
  • Practical experience in software development, advanced debugging, and complex systems integration is required.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and knowledge of Python are required.
  • Ability to investigate complex problems, connect multiple system components, and understand their interactions is required.
  • Understanding of the interactions between PHY, MAC, and upper protocol-stack layers is required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software for wireless communication systems on software-defined radio platforms and multicore system-on-chips.
  • Contribute to features spanning signal processing, protocol layers, software integration, and overall system behavior.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving real-time performance, interoperability, stability, and component integration.
  • Design and validate code in C/C++ and Python with emphasis on quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop or improve automation tools for testing, debugging, analysis, and technical investigation.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools, agentic programming, and, where relevant, artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to support development, technical analysis, and automation.
  • Participate in the analysis, detection, and characterization of wireless signals.
  • Collaborate with validation, integration, architecture, and product teams, and maintain technical documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • French language skills are an asset.
  • Experience with wireless protocols and upper layers of a wireless system, including L2/L3, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, NAS, mobility, quality of service, and radio control.
  • Understanding of interactions among real-time functions, protocols, and control mechanisms.
  • Experience with cellular technologies such as LTE and 5G NR, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Internet of Things, FR2/mmWave, and other radio-spectrum signals.
  • Experience analyzing, recognizing, or characterizing wireless signals.
  • Experience with digital oscilloscopes, analyzers, and RF signal generators such as MXA and MXG.
  • Knowledge of robustness, reliability, and security considerations in wireless communication systems.
  • Experience with software-defined radio systems, radio frequency, measurement and validation tools, and MATLAB.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence tools, agentic programming, or artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches applied to development, debugging, or technical analysis.
