Responsibilities
  • Prepare loan papers, documents, files, and correspondence.
  • Aid the lender in collecting financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of prospects and the merits of specific loan requests.
  • Collect information reflecting customers’ current creditworthiness and the current merits of existing loans.
  • Monitor the overdraft list in the lender’s absence and call for deposits as needed.
  • Assist the lender in collection efforts by preparing correspondence and monitoring payments.
  • Assist in preparing management reports, including past-due reports.
  • Prepare all necessary entries to book loans, including loan proceeds checks.
  • Assist loan customers daily with deposit inquiries and problems.
  • Follow up on tickler exceptions.
  • Maintain records and prepare master note draws, construction lines of credit, and other business-related lines of credit.
  • Determine the loan documentation and compliance documents needed for loans.
  • Close loans on a regular basis.
  • Assist the lender in monitoring and collecting information needed for notes to be renewed.
  • Work as a Personal Banker when needed.
  • Assist with other branch assignments as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Working knowledge of SBLU, BBLU, CLU, and the LSP, meaning Small Business Lending Unit, Business Banking Lending Unit, Commercial Lending Unit, and Loan Submission Package.

Renasant names Catherine Mealor as CFO as Jim Mabry transitions to retirement

Renasant Corporation announced Catherine Mealor will join as executive vice president and chief financial officer on 5 October 2026, assuming the CFO role on 1 January 2027. Jim Mabry, CFO since August 2020, will step down at year-end and retire in early 2027. The board intends to nominate Mabry for director election at the 2027 annual meeting. Mealor joins from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where she covered small and mid-cap banks across the southeastern US. She brings over 20 years of financial services experience and has served on FASB's Investor Advisory Committee since September 2021. During Mabry's tenure, Renasant grew from $14 billion to $27 billion in assets and completed its largest merger.

IHL approves renaming of Southern Miss' football stadium. Published: Aug. 20, 2026 at 10:13 AM PDT | Updated: 5 hours ago HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) approved a deal on Thursday morning that will rename M.M. Roberts Stadium, affectionately known as 'The Rock.' The University of Southern Mississippi struck a $13.7 million deal with Renasant Bank in exchange for the namesake. For the next 10 years, 'The Rock' will become 'Renasant Stadium.' The Mississippi IHL said that the university and bank had come to a mutual agreement after evaluating the value of the naming rights. The agreement can be terminated at any time and is active starting Friday, Aug. 21.

Renasant Q2 earnings beat estimates at $0.94 per share, revenue misses at $273.94M

Renasant reported second-quarter earnings of $0.94 per share, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.91 per share and marking a 3.30% surprise. This compares to earnings of $0.69 per share a year ago. The company has beaten consensus EPS estimates three times over the last four quarters. However, quarterly revenues of $273.94 million missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.6%, though this represents an increase from year-ago revenues of $267.19 million. Renasant shares have risen about 23% since the beginning of the year, outperforming the S&P 500's 8.3% gain. Despite the positive earnings surprise, the estimate revisions trend for Renasant was unfavourable ahead of this release, translating into a Zacks Rank 4 (Sell) for the stock.
