Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience
  • Expert understanding of DevOps engineering best practices
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an SRE or DevOps Engineer
  • 3+ years cloud networking experience and working in a DevOps environment
  • Experience in building Cloud Native web applications in AWS
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform
  • Extensive experience with: Implementing and managing Kubernetes, Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD
  • Fluency in the use of monitoring tools
  • Strong background in Linux / Unix Administration
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services to improve the continuous deployment process
  • A solid understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
  • Have working experience with server architecture, DNS, ipv4/ipv6, acl
  • MariaDB and Redis management
  • Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written correspondence
  • Bonus if you have Financial Industry experience or knowledge
Responsibilities
  • Work within a team of like-minded professionals to plan, deploy, and maintain critical business applications
  • Lead through mentorship while elevating junior and intermediate team members
  • Develop and maintain our Kubernetes cluster
  • Lead reliability projects and provide guidance for the team’s initiatives
  • Support implementation of continuous deployment through cloud solutions
  • Understand how IT operations are managed, identify recurring issues, and work with IT & Business partners to remediate using the problem management process
  • Utilize various open source technologies
  • Use various tools to orchestrate innovative solutions
  • Build independent web based tools, microservices and solutions
  • Write scripts and automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash
  • Configure and manage data sources like MySQL
  • Manage source control including SVN and GIT
