Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • California registration as an Engineer-In-Training is required.
  • Successful completion of coursework related to Transportation Engineering.
  • Exposure to a variety of transportation design standards.
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, self-motivation, and a desire to create high-quality products are required.
  • The position requires working in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design development of transportation projects on local roadways and state highways under the direction of a supervisor or project manager.
  • Assist with the preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, and construction documents.
  • Perform and document engineering calculations.
  • Coordinate regularly with Wallace Group project team members.
  • Understand and comply with project scopes, budgets, and schedules with guidance from senior staff.
  • Develop an understanding of industry standards and design criteria.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures.
  • Increase skills and knowledge in transportation engineering design, AutoCAD Civil 3D, industry standards, and Wallace Group standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Internship experience that included the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
