Greenbrook Medical runs a network of primary care clinics in the Tampa Bay area that focus exclusively on people 65 and older. It provides long, appointment-based visits with a small number of patients per doctor to build strong doctor–patient relationships. Care is delivered through a dedicated team with 24/7 access, on-site labs, EKGs, circulation testing, joint injections, skin biopsies, plus help with referrals and transportation. They partner with Tampa General Hospital on the TGH Senior Center to extend senior-focused care. The company differentiates itself by limiting patient load per physician, offering same or next-day availability and minimal wait times, and by maintaining continuity of care with the same doctor at every visit. Their goal is to deliver patient-centered, comprehensive geriatric care and support for chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and heart disease, while expanding access through partnerships and Medicare Advantage relationships.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Greenbrook said it grew 100% year-over-year in 2025 and expects faster 2026 growth.
  • June 2026 added Brandon and Riverview locations, extending TGH Senior Center reach.
  • UnitedHealthcare acceptance in June 2026 broadens patient access and reduces acquisition friction.

What critics are saying

  • Medicare Advantage reimbursement changes at Humana, Devoted, Florida Blue, and UnitedHealthcare hit margins quickly.
  • Tampa Bay concentration leaves Greenbrook exposed to local hospital competition and referral disruption.
  • If growth stalls after 2026 expansion, the senior-center model loses network density advantages.

What makes Greenbrook Medical unique

  • Greenbrook Medical built senior-only primary care around 1991 heritage and TGH partnership.
  • Its Tampa Bay footprint spans Hudson, Brandon, Riverview, and Spring Hill by June 2026.
  • Same-day access, longer visits, and on-site testing create a sticky relationship-based model.
