Responsibilities
  • Use computer-aided design, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, InRoads, SketchUp, Photoshop, and other discipline-related software to develop simple to intermediate, technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.
  • Review work for accuracy, make corrections from redlines, and perform backchecking.
  • Perform tasks within the assigned work-hour budget.
  • Maintain documentation and project records.
  • Provide technical coordination with other disciplines as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Assist with simple design calculations, calculate quantities, review technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
  • Promote, use, and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverable quality and reduce design errors and omissions.
  • Perform building surveys and related fieldwork as assigned.
  • Understand and manipulate client-specific prototypes for given projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior internships in the architecture and engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/InRoads, and/or hydrologic and hydraulic software packages for site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plan design, as well as other discipline-specific programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the engineering field.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
