Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in the related technology discipline. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of network engineering experience or equivalent in critical service industries with a focus on designing and implementing complex network solutions, with 10+ years in leading a Network Engineering Team.
  • Deep experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting a global network function, including protocols, routing, switching, and best security practices.
  • Strong background in planning, designing, configuring, and maintaining Fortinet Firewalls, SD-WAN, Cisco switches, routers, and wireless technologies, among other networking equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of planning, designing, implementing, and operating an Enterprise IT network environment and data center network.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based technology platforms and capabilities including, but not limited to, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Global Accelerator. Hands-on experience with SIP and VoIP technologies, including AudioCodes Mediant Gateway certification (M2K, T1, CAMA, SIP, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, and DNS.
  • Experience with build and designing rack/cabinet/cage construction for network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge and experience in network monitoring and optimization tools.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the network engineering team in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure and customer network connectivity, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage and maintain the deployment of cloud, on-prem, and networking solutions, including switches, routers, load balancers, wireless, security appliances & services.
  • Plan, implement, and optimize QoS solutions to enhance network performance and efficiency.
  • Lead the Design, integration, and implementation process in various deployment schemes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network solutions that meet public safety products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute data center migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes.
  • Innovate and lead network projects, including network establishment, upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with public safety customers.
  • Familiarity with Esinet.
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Solution Architect certification.
  • Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and VMware certifications.
  • Ability to generate and maintain deployment procedures, best practices, and guidance.
  • Proficiency in documenting, diagramming, and presenting information using Visio/Draw.io.
