About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience is required.
- Broad knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems is required.
- An unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record are required.
- Basic computer and internet skills are required.
- The ability to communicate effectively, provide customer service, solve problems, maintain composure under stress, and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff is required.
- The candidate must be professional, dependable, and oriented toward safety and customer service.
- Perform diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance for customer and dealership vehicles.
- Fully understand and carry out repair orders as dispatched.
- Conduct full inspections, diagnosis, and troubleshooting to determine repair needs.
- Perform quality-control checks to ensure repairs are completed.
- Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
- Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards and support efficient shop operations through inventory stocking and other general functions.
- Follow shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness while performing service or repairs.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisor and Parts department personnel.
- Participate in company and INFINITI training and education to further develop expertise.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Two years of dealer-level or large-facility experience is preferred.
