Requirements
  • At least 7 years of product management or product ownership experience, including a track record leading enterprise enterprise resource planning initiatives at scale and at least one large SAP implementation, S/4HANA migration, or major module rollout.
  • Deep functional expertise in SAP and related business processes, including record-to-report, source-to-pay, or order-to-cash, plus working fluency in adjacent areas and master data governance.
  • Hands-on experience or strong technical understanding of agentic automation, large language model orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of modern data platforms, including SAP data extraction and modeling, pipelines, semantic layers, and making enterprise resource planning data usable for analytics and artificial intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a product domain end-to-end and connect automation outcomes to finance and operations goals.
  • Working knowledge of SAP authorizations, segregation of duties, Sarbanes-Oxley and audit requirements, and modern enterprise governance practices.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, manage complex stakeholder landscapes across business and information technology, and collaborate directly with engineering teams to build applications from scratch.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the product strategy and roadmap for the SAP platform and intelligent automation layer.
  • Drive SAP implementations, platform evolution, business-process transformation, and the automation roadmap using artificial intelligence and agentic workflows.
  • Design, build, and deploy intelligent agentic workflows on SAP, partnering with engineering and data teams on orchestration, retrieval, and guardrail patterns.
  • Own product requirements for ingesting SAP data into Databricks, including ingestion, semantic and master data modeling, lineage, and governance.
  • Own the backlog and acceptance criteria, run prioritization and release planning with internal and partner engineering teams, and drive readiness, cutover, adoption, and change management.
  • Act as the primary product leader for the SAP domain and coordinate across the SAP ecosystem, including Business Technology Platform, Integration Suite, and surrounding non-SAP systems.
  • Define success metrics such as process cycle time, touchless transaction rate, automation accuracy, adoption, close efficiency, and cost-to-serve, and use data-driven insights to guide iteration.
  • Align Finance, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and senior leadership around the automated product vision and communicate the roadmap in company-wide productivity and artificial-intelligence discussions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience developing custom applications or automation layers on data platforms such as Databricks that extend or sit alongside SAP.
  • Familiarity with the SAP artificial-intelligence and extension stack, including Business Technology Platform and AI Core, and a clear perspective on build-versus-adopt tradeoffs against a Databricks-native approach.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP integration surfaces and their limitations, including OData, REST APIs, CDS views, and Datasphere.

Databricks provides a unified data and AI platform built around a lakehouse architecture that blends data lakes and data warehouses. It helps organizations ingest, store, manage, and analyze data from various sources, then apply analytics and machine learning at scale. The platform offers automated ETL, secure data sharing, and high-performance analytics, with built-in support for AI workloads and model deployment. Unlike traditional single-purpose data stores, Databricks combines data engineering, data science, and business analytics in one system, aiming to streamline data workflows and make insights readily actionable. Its goal is to enable businesses to manage data more efficiently, accelerate insight generation, and deploy AI and analytics across diverse teams through a subscription-based platform and professional services.

Coatue leads $3B Databricks investment at $134B valuation

Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
