This role will be based in our Raleigh, North Carolina HQ. As a member of our leadership and management team, you will work in person out of our Raleigh HQ 4x week (M, W, F + one additional day).
Job Overview:
Relay’s Senior Manager, Sales Operations will be pivotal in building a world-class sales organization, driving operational excellence, and enabling scalability. The ideal candidate is obsessed with customer experience, believes no detail is too small, and is excited to multitask & drive simultaneous projects. You will work closely with Relay’s Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
You are the technical master that understands how to design systems and processes to enable revenue growth strategies. As a highly skilled and motivated Sales Operation Manager you’ll work closely with our sales team to observe and understand the on-the-ground sales behaviors to remove bottlenecks and optimize the buyer experience. You will be responsible for delivering best-fit solutions by collaborating with other department stakeholders to ensure a holistic view is considered across the business. As a subject matter expert, you are a trusted source on CRM administration, sales tech stack, reporting, and forecasting.

What you will do:
- Work with the VP of Sales to design and implement scalable sales systems to support our Revenue and GTM strategies.
- Partner with the VP of Sales and the Director of Sales Enablement to identify bottlenecks and drive initiatives that improve rep productivity and overall team performance.
- Build and manage a sales operations function to support forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, and compensation modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on sales data analysis and performance metrics.
- Provide recommendations for system design to ensure tight feedback loops across the organization
What you will bring to this role:
- Proven experience in a sales operations role within a fast-growing SaaS company.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, multi-departmental initiatives.
- Deep expertise in CRM management and experience leading CRM migrations (preferably to HubSpot).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
- A strategic mindset paired with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Track record of implementing effective sales processes that drive revenue growth and efficiency.
Desired knowledge, skills and/or attributes:
- Experience: 5+ years in sales operations
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred), sales automation tools, and analytics software.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor team members.
- Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives and achieve strategic goals.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Communication: Clear and persuasive communicator, able to influence at all levels of the organization.
