Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience administering UKG Workforce Management in an acute care healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting workforce scheduling operations within a complex unionized healthcare environment.
  • Experience administering UKG Scheduling, including system configuration, security, user access, scheduling rules, and troubleshooting.
  • A strong understanding of healthcare staffing practices, scheduling processes, collective agreement requirements, and payroll integration.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Clinical Operations, Human Resources, Payroll, and Information Technology teams.
  • Experience supporting system testing, upgrades, release management, and production support activities.
  • Experience creating operational reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics using UKG, Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a strong operational focus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Responsibilities
  • Administer, support, secure, and operationally manage the UKG Workforce Management scheduling system.
  • Maintain stable UKG scheduling operations, manage system security and user access, support configuration changes, troubleshoot issues, ensure data integrity, and provide operational support to end users.
  • Serve as the operational subject matter expert for UKG Scheduling and ensure system configuration aligns with organizational policies, collective agreements, scheduling practices, and payroll requirements.
  • Coordinate system updates, support testing activities, maintain system documentation, monitor integrations, and partner with stakeholders to ensure reliable system performance.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the UKG scheduling environment, including managing security roles and user access, supporting schedule configuration and maintenance, monitoring interfaces, resolving production issues, coordinating vendor support, and ensuring system availability and data integrity.
  • Develop operational standards, documentation, and support processes, and provide guidance and training to managers, schedulers, and system users.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and operational metrics using UKG and Workday data to support scheduling performance, staffing utilization, overtime management, vacancy monitoring, and workforce planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, system configuration, workflows, and user experience.
  • Participate in testing new functionality, evaluate enhancement requests, support release management activities, and document recommendations for the future UKG optimization roadmap.
  • Coordinate with People Services, Clinical Operations, Payroll, and Information Technology to ensure future enhancements align with organizational priorities, operational requirements, and collective agreement obligations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Power Query and Power BI.
  • UKG Workforce Management certifications.
  • Experience with UKG Scheduling, Timekeeping, Advanced Scheduler, and related Workforce Management modules.
  • Experience supporting integrations between UKG, Workday, payroll, and other enterprise systems.
  • Experience with workforce analytics, reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Experience participating in system implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience developing business cases and operational recommendations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional operational initiatives.
