Requirements
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • You have 15+ years of experience in IT operations with a focus on cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • You have 5+ years of experience in a leadership role overseeing cloud operations or infrastructure management.
  • You have strong communication, leadership, and team management skills with proven track record in managing high-availability and scalable cloud solutions.
  • You have the experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • You have the familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • You have the knowledge of security best practices and experience with security and compliance audits (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • You have a good understanding with one of the following CI / CD tooling: Atlassian tooling, Jenkins, CircleCI and cloud native deployment tools and deep understanding of GITOPS.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments and data pipelines.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of cloud environments, including monitoring, incident response, and problem resolution.
  • Oversee the deployment of cloud services, ensuring high availability, performance and SLAs.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the cloud operations team.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and training to develop team skills and capabilities.
  • Ensure all cloud operations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure cloud services comply with internal and external security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Drive infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, to improve deployment speed and reliability.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices to streamline operations and reduce time to market.
  • Explore new tools and methodologies for improving cloud operations efficiency and reducing manual tasks.
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers, third-party vendors, and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage service level agreements (SLAs) with cloud providers and service partners.
