Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience practicing as a Physician Assistant.
- Graduate from an approved Physician Assistant program.
- Hold a current Physician Assistant license.
- Hold Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Effectively communicate with patients and clinical staff.
- React calmly and effectively in difficult or emergent situations.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, time management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Be able to manually take patient vital signs.
- Maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain medical histories focused on allergy and sinus conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic allergic and sinus conditions, including allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and asthma.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including allergy testing, sinus computed tomography scans, and pulmonary function tests.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medications, immunotherapy, and procedural recommendations.
- Perform and assist with in-office procedures, including administration and supervision of subcutaneous and sublingual immunotherapy and nasal endoscopy.
- Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and medication use.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record within 24 hours of the visit.
- Oversee and manage food and environmental allergy testing using percutaneous allergy skin testing and intracutaneous allergy testing.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative evaluation and treatment after surgeon-performed sinus procedures.
- Develop relationships with referring medical providers and the local medical community.
- Attend lunches and events with the assigned territory provider relationship representative to build credibility and market Aspire.
- Meet standard metrics: testing at a minimum threshold of 50%, treatment at a minimum threshold of 30%, and IOP conversion at a minimum threshold of 7%.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
