Requirements
  • Possess an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or have two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, including an extensive employment, criminal record, and residence background check.
  • Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as adjusted to meet operational demands.
  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Use close vision and adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all human resource functions for the assigned location, including recruitment, new hire processing, benefits enrollment, and workers’ compensation.
  • Act as the main employee contact for employment-related issues at the station.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting comply.
  • Make hiring decisions for the stations.
  • Create and maintain a recruiting network involving community colleges, travel and airline academies, high school and student employment offices, state employment offices, and other public agencies.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Maintain records of benefits-plan participation, personnel transactions, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Develop recruitment strategies with the station manager to achieve required staffing levels.
  • Present opportunities to potential applicants at career expos, job fairs, and other venues.
  • Interview and select qualified applicants while managing background verification and new-hire orientation.
  • Conduct wage and benefits surveys and research regulatory requirements affecting wages and benefits.
  • Research and provide economic data for cities within the assigned region.
  • Interact with employee groups to identify issues affecting recruitment and retention.
  • Maintain local personnel files and audit records for local and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as an authorized signatory for AGI and control badging applications for new hires and current staff.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the airport badging office and regulatory agencies such as Customs and Border Protection.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as employee payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, labor reports, out-of-scope billing, de-icing reports, and airline compliance reports when needed.
  • Follow company health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Report hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, and dangerous occurrences.
  • Attend required AGI training courses.
