Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Six years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.
  • Six years of experience in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, construction, and site selection for industrial-scale data center projects.
Responsibilities
  • Work with internal and external technical teams to identify, define, and pursue new site expansion projects and initiatives needed to meet ongoing data center needs, including procuring infrastructure for existing and new sites.
  • Monitor progress against objectives, provide regular status reports, and advocate financial metrics to support site and infrastructure portfolio decisions.
  • Manage the strategy for ongoing growth at existing regions and sites.
  • Develop metrics for mapping, tracking, and advocating portfolio management issues related to site and infrastructure development.
  • Identify locations and sites of interest for data centers, establish agreements, and build relationships with landowners, economic development officials, power grid and energy companies, telecommunications companies, government officials, data center developers, and data center providers.
  • Lead discussions for purchase and service agreements with stakeholders, including management of compliance issues, site and infrastructure development strategy, and milestone tracking.
  • Oversee vendor and partner relationships, ensure contract compliance on third-party agreements, lead special projects, manage vendors, and present recommendations to company leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, industrial-class electrical and cooling technology, or related technical areas.
  • Experience in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, construction, and site selection for industrial-scale projects.
  • Experience managing utility agreements and energy-related issues, financial modeling, and implementing clean energy initiatives.
  • Experience in indirect taxes, economic development policy, infrastructure development, agreement drafting, presentation development, and data center real estate markets.
  • Ability to propose commercially and technically creative solutions.
  • Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous, collaborative, and changing environments.
