About the job
- At least 3 years of overall development experience, including at least 3 years of experience with Java/J2EE technology.
- Strong object-oriented design skills and programming experience.
- A solid understanding of Java/J2EE.
- Experience developing object-oriented applications in Java.
- Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, XML, XSD, and XSLT.
- Experience using one or more of the following frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, Struts, or JSF.
- Experience with web application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, or WebLogic.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture and both SOAP and REST.
- Exceptional analytical and technical skills, verbal and written communication skills, meeting facilitation skills, personal organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a broad business perspective.
- Availability to work without H1B visa sponsorship and without third-party representation.
- Design, build, test, implement, and support production technical tasks.
- Support requirements analysis and technical architecture while ensuring the quality of deliverables.
- Create technical specification documents based on business requirements.
- Develop code that meets client coding standards and guidelines.
- Work in Agile or Waterfall development environments and respond quickly to changes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to application development teams throughout all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
- Support quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing.
- Work with the quality assurance and user teams to address defects logged on integrated code.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience with Guidewire.
- Experience working with insurance claims systems.
