Requirements
- A state-specific radiology license is required.
- ARRT certification in MRI is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of technologist experience is required.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs is required.
- ARRT certification in MRI and additional radiography credentials are desired.
- A South Carolina radiography license is desired, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- The candidate must be comfortable working with a team or independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical MRI scans.
- Position patients according to established protocols.
- Evaluate images to ensure they meet the ordering provider’s requirements.
- Adjust MRI equipment as needed to produce high-quality images.
- Screen patients for metal implants.
- Review medical histories and explain procedures to patients.
- Manage claustrophobic or anxious patients during procedures.
- Calibrate equipment, select proper coils, set scanning parameters, and produce high-quality diagnostic images.

- Siemens experience is desired, or the candidate must be willing to train on Siemens applications.
