Requirements
  • A state-specific radiology license is required.
  • ARRT certification in MRI is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of technologist experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs is required.
  • ARRT certification in MRI and additional radiography credentials are desired.
  • A South Carolina radiography license is desired, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working with a team or independently.
Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical MRI scans.
  • Position patients according to established protocols.
  • Evaluate images to ensure they meet the ordering provider’s requirements.
  • Adjust MRI equipment as needed to produce high-quality images.
  • Screen patients for metal implants.
  • Review medical histories and explain procedures to patients.
  • Manage claustrophobic or anxious patients during procedures.
  • Calibrate equipment, select proper coils, set scanning parameters, and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Desired Qualifications
  • Siemens experience is desired, or the candidate must be willing to train on Siemens applications.
  • Strong customer service skills are desired.
  • Organizational and multitasking skills are desired.
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic, and compassion are desired.
