Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute a portfolio of affordable senior housing acquisition transactions from opportunity identification through closing and transition to operations.
  • Participate as an active member of the Acquisition and Development team alongside the Acquisitions Analyst and Senior Director of Acquisitions.
  • Manage individual deals from site identification through closing and turnover to the housing and asset management teams.
  • Support the acquisition of multifamily senior housing projects.
  • Underwrite and model potential acquisition opportunities to determine maximum offer price and financial viability.
  • Review and analyze operating budgets, potential funding sources, and capital needs, and make recommendations to the senior development team.
  • Review and analyze compliance documents.
  • Review, summarize, and analyze project due diligence, including market studies, appraisals, environmental reports, and capital needs assessments.
  • Review title and property reports with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Obtain HUD, Housing Finance Agency, and investor approvals as applicable.
  • Manage project timelines and checklists and ensure compliance with applicable deadlines.
  • Conduct site visits to review potential acquisitions as required.
  • Coordinate with the Acquisitions Analyst, seller, third-party vendors, title companies, outside legal counsel, and the property management team to direct the flow of real estate transactions.
  • Transition completed assets to the National Church Residences housing team.
  • Assist with LIHTC, HOME, FHLB, and HUD applications.
  • Support board reporting, Investment Corporation reporting, Internal Investment Committee reporting, and industry-specific presentations.
  • Attend regularly scheduled team meetings.
  • Complete annual Compliance, Privacy, Security, and HIPAA training and follow the Code of Conduct and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
