Requirements
  • At least 12 years of experience across technology and commercial roles, combining two or more of software development and engineering, product management, pre-sales, and customer success, ideally in a banking technology company.
  • Substantial experience selling technology into banks or credit unions in the United States, with a track record of carrying deals through enterprise architecture, information security, and procurement review.
  • Breadth across the banking technology stack, including core banking, deposits, payments, cards, lending, and digital channels, with hands-on depth in at least two areas.
  • A degree in computer science or engineering.
  • Technical breadth with depth in the architecture, application programming interfaces, events, and data model of cloud-native banking platforms, sufficient to assemble a proposition from several platforms.
  • Architectural judgment to design a target state, sequence the path to it, and defend both against an institution's architects.
  • Knowledge of coexistence design, including what can run in parallel, what must move together, and how to communicate those decisions to a bank.
  • Ability to understand customer needs, connect relevant capabilities, and solve problems live during calls.
  • Sales acumen and patience for evaluations measured in quarters that may change sponsors.
  • Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences and engage effectively with engineers.
  • Ability to present confidently in customer meetings, conferences, and analyst briefings.
  • Ownership and ability to operate in a zero-to-one motion with changing priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Gain an in-depth, hands-on understanding of the full Zeta stack, including processing and issuing across credit, debit, and prepaid, core banking, deposits, lending, payments, fraud, loyalty, digital banking applications, and agentic artificial intelligence capabilities.
  • Develop first-hand knowledge of the platform modules, application programming interfaces, low-code extension points, events, data model, and features, and use those interfaces as a customer would.
  • Understand the deployment model, including environments, residency, resilience, and the requirements of institutional infrastructure and security teams.
  • Run technical discovery within institutions with large existing technology estates and identify the problem worth solving.
  • Assemble solutions across multiple platforms into one proposition and decide what is in scope and what belongs in a later phase.
  • Craft solutions during customer calls and presentations and demonstrate them live.
  • Produce target architectures and integration designs for customers' existing core, ledger, data, and channel systems.
  • Design coexistence and phasing, including what moves first, what runs in parallel, and what is decommissioned and when.
  • Build reusable reference architectures for recurring institutional problems.
  • Build and maintain demo environments across the platform set that cover real banking workflows.
  • Design and run proofs of concept, competitive evaluations, and tabletop exercises against customer-defined criteria.
  • Own technical requests for proposals and requests for information, security questionnaires, penetration-test and audit-report reviews, resilience and exit-planning questions, and vendor due diligence.
  • Create technical diagrams, architecture illustrations, and visuals for technical responses.
  • Carry the technical case through enterprise architecture review boards, information security review, and procurement.
  • Serve as the technical counterpart to partner product and engineering leadership through evaluation, integration design, and launch.
  • Enable partners' sales engineers and solution consultants to position and demonstrate Zeta's capabilities and keep that enablement current.
  • Maintain competitive analysis of incumbent full-stack providers, modern platforms on older cores, in-house builds, and systems integrators.
  • Position Zeta against customer beliefs, recognize where competitors are better placed, and requalify opportunities rather than discount.
  • Work with Marketing to produce technical thought leadership, including articles, whitepapers, video scripts, case studies, and webinars.
  • Speak at industry forums and events and support analyst engagement.
  • Carry market evidence back to Product, including customer requests, objections, lost opportunities, and roadmap implications.
  • Build a reusable reference architecture and solution library.
  • Document enterprise architecture and information-security objections and reusable answers.
  • Provide product feedback that changes the roadmap and is traced to named deals.
  • Establish Zeta's right to participate in qualified institutional evaluations, competitive requests for proposals, and shortlists.
  • Win technical evaluations, proofs of concept, and competitive bake-offs.
  • Contribute technically to closing at least one seven-figure annual recurring revenue contract and maintain a technically qualified pipeline.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with core or platform migration and coexistence in a live institution, from either the customer or provider side.
  • Experience in a banking technology company.

Zeta provides cloud-native, API-connected payment card issuer processing platforms for banks, financial institutions, and fintechs. Its core product, Omni Stack, lets clients launch and manage digital credit, debit, and prepaid card programs through integrated APIs and cloud services. The company differentiates itself with a fully cloud-native, API-first approach combined with strong regulatory compliance (ISO IEC 27001, PCI DSS 4.0, SOC 2 Type 2), enabling rapid deployment and secure operation of embedded banking and payments.
