The Role
As the Loan Analyst Team Lead, you are responsible for helping your direct reports become true subject matter experts for the life of a loan, a proactive and consistent performer, achieve optimum productivity while exceeding loan quality standards and contribute to providing an exceptional customer experience, both internal and external. This includes focusing on the right priorities for your team, scaling best practices with Leadership and Professional Development groups, and personifying the values and principles consistent with Kiavi. The Loan Analyst Team Lead will help their team excel towards key individual and team goals through coaching, escalation coverage, best practice scaling, and prioritization, while maintaining accountability and consistency within our core Kiavi values and principles.
Responsibilities

- Identify process gaps and optimize efficiency/quality in the processing of a loan by thoughtfully and successfully implementing process changes across the team.
- Lead, oversee, & monitor the Loan Analyst Power Users, individual & team performance.
- Assist with loan prioritization and loan level escalations.
- Ongoing monitoring of pipeline to ensure individual Loan Analyst productivity and quality.
- Function as a technical resource for the team for the Ops platform.
- Lead orientation and training of new hires and current department personnel.
- Develop training materials, job aides, and/or tools to create process efficiency and consistency.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and collaboration among department members
- Passion and enthusiasm for the organization’s mission and values.
- Strong command of LendingHome credit policy and process. Expected to stay current with any procedural changes and teach your team to scale your expertise.
- Act as a liaison between the Loan Analyst team & other department leads and managers.
- Actively participate in cross functional teams to help execute our tech enabled ideas
- Assist the Loan Analyst Manager to keep the team properly staffed in conjunction with our forecast and goals
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.
- Hold weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1’s and team huddles.
- In conjunction with the Loan Analyst Manager, complement semi-annual performance evaluations of team members.
Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or a departmentally related field
- 5 or more years of successful professional experience within the mortgage lending industry
- 3 or more years of successful professional experience as a mortgage Loan Analyst/Processor
- 2 or more years of successful professional experience people managing
- Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment utilizing Google applications
- Self starter who excels in a fast paced agile software development environment
- Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills along with Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas, influence others, and build relationships.

Kiavi takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. The expected annualized base pay range for this full-time role to be performed remotely is 60-90K + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Kiavi offers free employee-only coverage for medical, dental, and vision plans. Dependents receive a heavily discounted premium, competitively placed in the 90th percentile for cost.
- Health Savings Account (HSA): For those enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), Kiavi provides an annual employer contribution to HSAs: $500 for individual coverage and $1,000 for dependents.
- Disability and Life Insurance: Immediate access to short-term and long-term disability insurance, as well as group life and AD&D insurance, with coverage at 1x annual salary.
- Remote Work Policy: Kiavi supports working remotely for day to day activities for most roles and occasionally may ask employees to gather in person for key meetings, trainings, team building etc. For remote workers, Kiavi offers a one-time office setup reimbursement of up to $500 and a monthly $75 stipend for internet and phone expenses. For in-office workers, Kiavi offers employer contributions to commuter benefits account, either for parking or public transportation.
- Flexible Time Off: Employees are empowered to manage their own time off, with no strict limits, as long as it’s approved by their manager.
- Paid Leaves: Up to 8 weeks of paid leave for medical or caregiver purposes, and 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave. Short-term disability leave is also available for birthing mothers.
- 401(k) & Company Match: A 401(k) plan managed by Fidelity, with Kiavi matching 100% of contributions up to 3% of compensation or $4,000 (whichever is less). All employer contributions are immediately vested.
