Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with formal technical writing education considered an asset.

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and statistical software such as Minitab.
  • Advanced ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Solid understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and ASME Y14.5M.
  • Experience with and knowledge of ISO and TS requirements.
  • Skill in operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine and writing measurement programs in compliance with print specifications.
Responsibilities
  • Review new project release packages to verify that customer specifications are achievable.
  • Implement inspection plans for new projects and update existing project inspection plans as necessary.
  • Conduct training with shop personnel on new projects and resolve quality-related questions.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering regarding process changes.
  • Learn customer specifications and act as a resource for others to protect the company’s interests.
  • Ensure adherence to company quality procedures and document exceptions for Manufacturing and Quality management.
  • Develop inspection processes that achieve both the quoted quality and economic results.
  • Meet promised due dates for customer proposal requests.
  • Implement and develop advanced manufacturing technology as part of continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three or more years of manufacturing, sheet metal, or welding fabrication knowledge.
  • Five or more years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing business environment.
