Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience managing heavy construction projects, such as highways and bridges exceeding $50 million, including experience operating Primavera 6 CPM scheduling software and Bluebeam Revu takeoff software.
  • Two years of experience operating Microsoft Power BI and Heavy Job HCSS to manage civil engineering projects and applying construction math concepts to value-engineer cost components exceeding $10 million.
  • Two years of experience with Microsoft Office, Oracle P6, Procore, and HCSS.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safety-first attitude throughout the project across all levels of management and operations.
  • Supervise, manage, and direct personnel selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with the owner or the owner's representative.
  • Read, understand, and plan according to work specifications and contract responsibilities.
  • Anticipate project conflicts, communicate preventative action plans, and implement solutions to avoid issues.
  • Plan work according to project plans, change orders, shop drawings, subcontracts, purchase orders, and monthly pay estimates.
  • Create, update, review, and maintain Requests for Information and submittal logs.
  • Select and oversee subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Create, update, review, and maintain the project budget, and generate solutions to stay on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project equipment costs and implement strategies to stay within budget.
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget the time required to meet deadlines using P6 CPM.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing knowledge and skills.
  • Oversee daily field activities with superintendents to ensure optimal project progression.
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
