Not-for-profit public policy and security analysis

ANSER is a not-for-profit public service research institute that provides objective studies and analyses to the national security, homeland security, and public policy communities. It uses a range of capabilities—such as Analysis of Alternatives, Acquisition Analysis, Workforce Analysis, Performance Measurement, Policy Formulation, Counter-WMD, and Risk Assessment—to inform decision makers. Through its subsidiary Advanced Technology International (ATI), ANSER also organizes and manages research and development consortia for the federal government, building technology development collaborations. Unlike many for-profit consultancies, ANSER emphasizes independent, unbiased research rooted in a long history dating back to 1958, with origins tied to the RAND Corporation. Its goal is to inform decisions that shape the nation’s future by providing rigorous, objective analyses and by facilitating collaborative technology programs for the government.
