What believers are saying

  • Ramfoam doubled Alanto's turnover from £10 million to £20 million by 2024.
  • Lloyds Bank funded £3.8 million expansion, signaling lender confidence in J&T's growth.
  • J&T now sells into 20 specialized markets, including automotive, medical, military, and construction.

What critics are saying

  • Ramfoam integration spans Canada, Walsall, and Dubai, raising execution risk across three jurisdictions.
  • The £3.8 million Lloyds loan increases leverage after a transformative acquisition.
  • A failed UK-Middle East integration would erase Ramfoam's gains and stall J&T's expansion thesis.

What makes Jacobs & Thompson unique

  • Since 1947, Jacobs & Thompson built vertically integrated foam, film, textile, and adhesive manufacturing.
  • Alanto's 2021 acquisition gave J&T UK manufacturing, then Ramfoam added three West Midlands sites.
  • Few peers combine North American scale with UK and Dubai footholds.
