  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Four to six years of progressive experience in branch operations and/or successful property and casualty sales is required.

  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Moderate Internet and intranet experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license, acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record, and minimum liability insurance issued by the state are required.
  • A property and casualty insurance license valid in the selling state is required.
  • An Associate in General Insurance credential from the Insurance Institute of America is required.
  • Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences is required.
  • The role requires advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills, including independent analysis and decisions involving office operations and corporate issues.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct strategic insurance sales, travel sales, membership sales and retention, auto travel, travel agency, automotive services, and public affairs business plans.
  • Manage daily branch and insurance operations and achieve branch sales, service, membership, policyholder, revenue-growth, productivity, and cost-control goals.
  • Plan and direct tasks related to increasing premium growth and membership growth.
  • Maximize productivity and member service by ensuring resources are effectively deployed.
  • Develop and implement training, recognition, and coaching sales-management plans.
  • Communicate relevant and accurate information to branch and sales teams through team meetings, one-on-ones, and training sessions.
  • Recruit, interview, screen, and hire staff replacements or additions.
  • Coach and train employees, support individual development, and ensure employees attain desired performance levels.
  • Hire, train, and manage staff; develop goals; conduct performance appraisals; and review and initiate salary increases, promotions, terminations, and other employee-status changes.
  • Analyze member-satisfaction and quality-standard results, identify improvement areas, and address them.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with employees and management and support activities that enhance interdepartmental relationships.
  • Resolve member complaints involving insurance, membership, emergency roadside assistance, travel, and reservations.
  • Ensure the field sales operation complies with member-service standards and improve the accuracy of new policies sold.
  • Provide leadership to key local organizations and influence positive local media coverage to advance public-affairs objectives and enhance the organization’s image.
  • Develop and implement sales and service management action plans.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings, workshops, special projects, and working groups.
  • Compile reports and provide information to the Regional Manager.
  • Maintain the assigned location’s visual appearance and ensure displays and business-development areas comply with marketing guidelines.
  • Plan, develop, execute, and monitor budgeting goals and objectives so the district office operates within the approved expense budget.
  • Review and analyze reports from corporate or business units.
  • Manage the facility and tenants to ensure office appearance and safety standards are met.
  • Coordinate utilities, trash, mail, supplies, keycards, parking, and other facility matters with internal and external tenants.
  • Conduct audits and procedural examinations as required by Club policy.
  • Contact corporate business units and, when necessary, consult the Regional Manager or Business Development Manager to resolve operational and member-service issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • One to three years of management or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Previously demonstrated advanced competitive and persistent nature is desired.
  • Moderate experience with Club systems, including POS, BDGT, PSAR, STAT, APOLLO, and VIEWPOINT, is preferred.
