  • Translate control design and effectiveness criteria into measurable monitoring requirements.
  • Use system-generated data, dashboards, telemetry, logs, configurations, and other technical signals to monitor control execution, exceptions, and control health.
  • Partner with Engineering and Security teams to establish automated monitoring and evidence generation where feasible.
  • Identify control failures, anomalies, exceptions, and emerging compliance gaps and work with control owners to prioritize remediation based on risk.
  • Help transition assigned Security areas from point-in-time evidence collection and assessments toward continuous controls monitoring and audit-ready-by-default compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual compliance activities through reusable control monitoring, evidence pipelines, and automation.
  • Perform readiness assessments to evaluate whether controls are appropriately designed and operating as intended before relying on them for continuous monitoring and assurance.
  • Support internal and external assessments, certifications, audits, and regulatory requirements with reliable, reusable technical evidence and control documentation.
  • Coordinate remediation of identified control gaps and findings, including root-cause analysis, risk-based prioritization, and issue tracking through closure.
  • Analyze monitoring results, exceptions, findings, and recurring issues to identify systemic patterns and recommend durable improvements.
  • Feed insights from monitoring and assurance back into risk assessments, policies, control design, and monitoring requirements to continuously improve the Security compliance posture.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience across Security domains such as Identity and Access Management, Application Security, Cloud and Infrastructure Security, Vulnerability Management, Data Protection, Security Operations, Resilience, or Software Supply Chain Security.
  • Experience with security and assurance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, or comparable regulatory and industry frameworks.

About the company

LinkedIn runs a social network for working life, where people keep an online record of their careers and look for jobs, and where employers recruit, advertise, and sell to professionals. It became the world's largest professional network, and in 2016 Microsoft bought it in what was then Microsoft's biggest acquisition. Members fill profiles with their work history and skills, post in a news feed, and apply for openings, while recruiters search those profiles and message candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter. LinkedIn charges employers for these hiring tools and for ads aimed by job title or industry, and members pay for Premium subscriptions. Reid Hoffman co-founded LinkedIn in 2002, and it is based in Sunnyvale, California.

What believers are saying

  • Ads are the growth engine: LinkedIn's ad sales grew 16% in the June 2026 quarter, a seventh straight double-digit rise.
  • AI recruiting tools are paying off: LinkedIn's AI hiring products passed a $450 million yearly revenue pace by March 2026.
  • Hiring continues after the cuts: LinkedIn listed 330 open roles in October 2026, 187 in sales and 101 in engineering.

What critics are saying

  • Cuts come even as sales grow: LinkedIn laid off about 5% of staff in May 2026 after 12% revenue growth.
  • LinkedIn is a small, slower part of Microsoft: it made 6% of fiscal 2026 sales, growing 11% versus 18% overall.
  • AI-written posts crowd the feed: detection firm Pangram flagged 41% of long LinkedIn posts from April to June 2026.

What makes LinkedIn unique

  • Its scale is hard to copy: LinkedIn had over 1.3 billion members and 70 million companies by April 2026.
  • Its engineers built software most giant firms run: data-streaming tool Kafka, used by over 80% of the Fortune 100.
  • LinkedIn answers to Microsoft's Office chief: its CEO reports to Ryan Roslansky, who runs both LinkedIn and Office.

LinkedIn ex-CEO Ryan Roslansky to leave Microsoft in 2026 amid executive departures

Ryan Roslansky, Microsoft's executive vice president and former LinkedIn CEO, will leave the company at the end of 2026. Roslansky, who joined LinkedIn in 2009 and became CEO in 2020, cited family ties to the San Francisco Bay Area as his reason for departing. He will remain as an adviser to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella through December. His exit follows a string of executive departures at Microsoft, including gaming chief Phil Spencer and Office executive Rajesh Jha. Roslansky moved into Microsoft 365 oversight earlier this year after Dan Shapero became LinkedIn's CEO. During Roslansky's six-year tenure leading LinkedIn, membership grew from 700 million to 1.3 billion users. LinkedIn posted 11% revenue growth for Microsoft's most recent fiscal year.

Yiwen Wu unveils AI systems to transform 3D visual content production for film and gaming

Yiwen Wu, an artist-innovator combining generative AI with 3D visual arts, has unveiled two proprietary technology systems and an academic paper aimed at transforming 3D content production across film, gaming, virtual reality, and digital marketing. The Deep Learning-Based 3D Digital Art Generation and Intelligent Rendering System uses deep-learning models to convert creative inputs into production-ready 3D assets. The AI-Based Automatic 3D Visual Content Generation and Interactive Design Platform enables real-time human-AI co-creation, allowing artists to interactively refine automated content. Wu's systems integrate neural radiance fields, 3D Gaussian splatting, and diffusion-based generation into end-to-end workflows. Her accompanying paper, *Creative Innovation Research on the Integration of Artificial Intelligence Technology and 3D Visual Art*, examines how AI is reshaping creative work. Wu emphasises augmentation over replacement, stating: "AI is not here to replace artists; it's here to amplify their capabilities.

LinkedIn users flag 1M posts as AI slop in two weeks as platform battles bot takeover

LinkedIn has flagged over one million AI-generated posts through its new "seems like AI slop" button in just two weeks since launch. The feature allows users to report suspected AI content, resulting in a 40% reduction in views for flagged posts. Chief Product Officer Hari Srinivasan acknowledged more work is needed to maintain authentic content on the platform. Research shows LinkedIn faces particular challenges with AI content. Startup Pangram found over 40% of LinkedIn's longform posts were completely AI-generated, making it "the most AI-saturated platform" among text-based social media sites. The issue extends across the internet. Cloudflare reported that AI web traffic has surpassed human users for the first time, with bots now accounting for 61.9% of search requests. A Pew Research Centre study found 10% of webpages showed significant signs of AI authorship in July 2026. LinkedIn will expand verification features and remove its AI post enhancement tool.
