Sol de Janeiro, ATÜ Duty Free and Gebr. Heinemann 'make Life Cheirosa' at Antalya Airport pop-up. TÜRKIYE. L'OCCITANE Travel Retail has unveiled a major Sol de Janeiro activation at Antalya Airport Terminal 2 called 'Make Life Cheirosa'. It is running in partnership with airport's duty-free operator, ATÜ Duty Free - the joint venture between TAV Airports and Unifree Duty Free/Gebr. Heinemann - and part of a long-standing collaboration with the latter. The long-term installation is running from this month until April. It combines experiential retail, digital engagement, entertainment and product discovery. L'OCCITANE Travel Retail describes Antalya Airport as one of Sol de Janeiro's strongest travel retail locations. The activation is anchored by a 360-degree experiential wellness lounge which immerses travellers in Sol de Janeiro's Brazilian-inspired brand universe. The lounge features oversized hero product installations, digital video screens, discovery zones and dedicated fragrance and body care displays. Geo-targeted activity across Meta and Spotify engages travellers before they arrive at the terminal. Sampling, gifting and product discovery continue the campaign throughout the airport journey. The partners marked the launch with an event on 19 August joined by special guests and the local Sol de Janeiro team. The opening ceremony was graced by ATÜ Duty Free President and CEO Ersan Arcan; L'OCCITANE Group General Manager EMEAA Global Travel Retail Mark Edington and Gebr. Heinemann Global Commercial Director Beauty Britta Hoffmann. During the peak summer travel period, the activation is being amplified through DJ performances and rollerskating performers distributing Sol de Janeiro-branded boarding passes across the terminal. Following the initial August-to-October summer programme, the installation will remain in place until April and feature an evolving product assortment. Among the new products is Jelly Perfume Balm, Sol de Janeiro's first solid fragrance format. The alcohol-free twist-up balm is available in Cheirosa 62, Cheirosa 68 and Cheirosa 40 scents and is designed as a portable fragrance option for travellers. It delivers up to ten hours of fragrance and can be swiped up to 1,000 times. The new Hydrating Jet Set, comprising Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist, Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter and Body Badalada Vitamin-Infused Lotion in travel-friendly formats, is another stand-out. The expanded Body Badalada collection completes the line-up. Sol de Janeiro's new Intense Mists and Holiday collections are scheduled to join the offer later in 2026. Further innovations are planned through spring 2027. Travel retail-exclusive (TREX) gifting and purchase rewards complement the assortment. Sol de Janeiro launches three new limited edition perfume mists - Refresco Paraíso, Cheeky Biquíni and Limonada Gelada. Victoria Woollaston-Webber Updated: 23 August 2026 Image credit: Sol de Janeiro Sol de Janeiro has launched three limited edition perfume mists - and if you've ever wanted to smell like a Brazilian beach holiday, this is probably the closest you'll get without a flight UPDATE: Sol de Janeiro has just launched Intense Perfume Mist - a higher-concentration version of its signature Cheirosa mists, promising up to ten hours of wear rather than the shorter run time you'd get from the standard formula. The line includes intensified takes on three favourites - Cheirosa 62, Cheirosa 59 and Cheirosa 91 - plus a brand new scent, Cheirosa 74, a gourmand built on pineapple and orange flower. Every mist in the collection carries a new solar amber base note, designed to give it more depth than the original Cheirosa range. There's also a new Intense Perfume Mist Trio - an $87 bundle of the Cheirosa 59, 62 and 74 Intense mists (90ml each), for anyone who'd rather try the format across a few different profiles than commit to one bottle. For now, this is a US launch only. The mists arrived exclusively at Ulta Beauty and Sol de Janeiro on 23 August, with Sephora, Sephora.com and Amazon following on 29 September. There's no confirmed UK price or stockist yet, so if you're in the UK, this is one to watch rather than buy right now - Mamabella'll update this page the moment that changes. You'll also find Sol de Janeiro's first men's fragrance, Cheiroso Cologne Mist, in its own section further down this page, or read its full Cheiroso Cologne guide. Sol de Janeiro has launched three limited edition perfume mists. The scents are Refresco Paraíso (fresh, green floral), Cheeky Biquíni (fruity, warm, gourmand), and Limonada Gelada (citrus, coconut, creamy). Each mist is 90ml and costs £25. They're available individually or as a trio gift set. Original Sol de Janeiro Destination Drop Sol de Janeiro has built a serious following in the UK off the back of its Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and its now-iconic Cheirosa fragrance mists. As part of the latter, and ahead of the summer, Sol de Janeiro has launched three new mist scents as part of its new Destination Drop. Destination Drop is a limited edition collection of three 90ml perfume mists, each inspired by a different Rio beach. They're available now for £25 each. Below, Mamabella cover what each one smells like, who it's likely to suit, and whether the collection is actually worth adding to your routine - or your shelf. Alternatively, if you want to see what all of the Sol de Janeiro perfume mists smell like, or how these new mists fit into the wider range then go to its dedicated guide. What is the Sol de Janeiro Destination Drop? Body fragrance mists aren't new, but they've been growing in popularity as an alternative - or addition - to traditional perfumes. They're lighter, often cheaper per bottle, and easier to layer. Sol de Janeiro has been particularly good at this format, building out a range of Cheirosa-numbered mists that each have distinct personalities despite sharing that signature warmth. The Destination Drop takes a slightly different approach. Rather than numbered scents, each one is named and themed around a specific Rio location: Grumari Beach (rainforest meets sea), Praia do Abricó (the legendary nude beach, for what it's worth), and Praia Vermelha (famous for its golden-red sand and Sugarloaf Mountain views). The bottles come with collectable caps made from natural ash wood, which is a nice touch for a limited edition and each mist is 90ml, alcohol-based, and cruelty-free. Sol de Janeiro describes its formulas as being made in the US from globally sourced ingredients. You can find out more about the brand and its wider range in its Sol de Janeiro UK brand guide, which covers the full product line-up. Sol de Janeiro Refresco Paraíso Perfume Mist. Refresco Paraíso (which translates as "refreshing paradise") is the freshest, most green of the three. It's inspired by Grumari Beach, a stretch of coastline in Rio where jungle comes right down to the sea - and the scent reflects that. The top notes are rainforest orchid, jungle leaves, and dewy lime. The heart is sea breeze, tropical mist, and banana leaf. The dry-down lands on Brazilian blue cactus and skin musk. In practice, this sits closer to a green floral than a beach scent. It opens with something fresh and slightly dewy - more forest after rain than sunscreen and sand - and dries down to a soft, clean musk. It's the most wearable of the three for anyone who doesn't normally like Sol de Janeiro's sweet or gourmand fragrances. Sol de Janeiro Cheeky Biquíni Perfume Mist. Cheeky Biquíni is the most classically Sol de Janeiro of the three. If you already own Cheirosa 62 or 68, this will feel familiar territory - it's warm, fruity, and a little indulgent without tipping into heavy. The name references a bikini (biquíni in Portuguese) and the inspiration is Praia do Abricó, Rio's best-known naturist beach. The top notes are apricot nectar, fresh peach, and juicy açaí. The heart is crushed orange blossom and raspberry juice - which is where some of the floral softness comes in. The dry-down brings sheer vanilla, golden honey accord, and soft amber woods. That combination explains why reviewers have described it variously as fruity and juicy, candy-sweet (though not excessively so), and summery. Sol de Janeiro recommends layering it with Cheirosa 62 for a more complex finish. Sol de Janeiro Limonada Gelada Perfume Mist. Limonada Gelada - iced lemonade - is the one that's generated the most enthusiastic reviews of the three. The inspiration is Praia Vermelha, a beach in Rio that sits below Sugarloaf Mountain and is known for its warm, golden-red sand. The scent is designed to feel like a creamy Brazilian lemonade: citrusy on top, sweet and coconutty in the middle, and warm and vanillic at the base. Top notes are Brazilian lemonade accord, bergamot zest, and juicy pineapple. The heart brings in coconut milk, solar florals, and milky musk. The dry-down is brown sugar, creamy vanilla, light amber, and blonde woods. The perfumers describe it as smelling like "a dessert dancing under the sun," which is admittedly a lot - but the reviews back it up as uplifting and distinctive. There are some notes of caution in the reviews too. A couple of people found it leaned more towards baked goods than fresh lemon - it's not a sharp, zingy citrus. The coconut milk and brown sugar in the dry-down mean it finishes sweet and creamy rather than clean. If you want something that actually smells like fresh lemon, this probably isn't it. But if you like the idea of a warm, gourmand citrus - think lemon tart rather than lemonade - it delivers that well. One reviewer mentioned she's sensitive to fragrances that trigger migraines, and this was the first one she'd found that didn't cause a reaction - worth flagging for anyone in a similar situation, though individual responses will vary. It costs £25 for 90ml at Boots. Are the Destination Drop mists worth it? At £25 each, these sit at the upper end of what you'd spend on a body mist, but they're not expensive relative to proper eau de parfum. The format - light, sprayable, layerable - suits the way most people actually use fragrance day-to-day, especially in warmer months. The three scents are genuinely distinct, which is worth noting: Refresco Paraíso is fresh and green, Cheeky Biquíni is sweet and fruity, Limonada Gelada is creamy and citrus-warm. There's something for different preferences rather than three variations on the same theme. The main caveat is that they're limited edition, so if you find one you love, there's no guarantee it'll be around long-term. If you're a Sol de Janeiro fan already, the full Sol de Janeiro perfume guide is worth reading to see how these compare to the permanent Cheirosa line-up before you commit. Sol de Janeiro Cheiroso Cologne Mist. Not every new mist from Sol de Janeiro is aimed at women. The brand has introduced Cheiroso Cologne Mist, its first men's fragrance line, using the same mist format the brand is known for rather than a traditional cologne. Two scents are available at launch: Cheiroso 10, with cardamom, pineapple and cedarwood, and Cheiroso 7, built on lavender, macadamia and vanilla woods. Both are 90ml and cost $26, in line with the brand's other mists. The campaign leans heavily on Brazilian football culture and both mists use what's called "freshness-enhancing technology" - effectively an odour-control layer alongside the scent itself, rather than fragrance alone covering things up. It's a US launch through Sephora for now, with no confirmed UK release date yet. Mamabella'll add stockist details here once it lands.
Sol de Janeiro partners with Sweeter for two-day #SOLSUMMER activation across NYC. Posted on august 18, 2026. New York City, NY, USA - Aug 18th, 2026 - Sol de Janeiro brought its #SOLSUMMER campaign to New York City this month, partnering with Sweeter on a two-day mobile activation spotlighting the brand's Jelly Perfume Balms. Held June 21 in SoHo and June 23 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the campaign engaged more than 3,000 guests across both stops. Peak summer heat held steady both days, and lines ran continuously from open to close at each location. Sweeter managed the activation end to end, deploying a fully branded Airstream trailer built for the campaign. The trailer's interior wall carried Sol de Janeiro branding throughout, giving guests a fully immersive brand environment at the service window rather than a standard signage wrap. Sweeter's fabrication team also custom-built an awning valance for the service window, a detail that gave the trailer a distinct silhouette and made it identifiable from a distance along both retail corridors. Sweeter secured street activity permits for both dates, coordinating separately with SoHo and Williamsburg to route foot traffic and manage crowd flow at each site. Each location required its own site plan, accounting for sidewalk width, existing storefronts, and expected pedestrian volume before the trailer was positioned. The two-borough sequence gave Sol de Janeiro access to two different NYC audiences within the same week: the SoHo stop captured weekday shopping traffic in one of the city's densest retail zones, while the Williamsburg stop drew a neighborhood crowd on a weekend afternoon, giving the campaign both a downtown and a Brooklyn touchpoint without repeating the same audience twice. At the service window, guests were served Vanilla or Salted Caramel ice cream in custom branded cups with lids and branded wooden spoons, a treat built to hold up to summer heat and photograph well in hand. Sweeter's brand ambassador team worked the line at both stops, walking guests through Sol de Janeiro's fragrance portfolio and sampling both the Jelly Perfume Balms and the brand's fragrance sprays side by side. Ambassadors encouraged guests to layer scents, pairing balm and spray combinations based on individual preference, turning a routine sampling moment into a personalized fragrance consultation that gave guests a reason to linger at the window. Longtime Sol de Janeiro loyalists and first-time samplers received the same walkthrough, with ambassadors adjusting recommendations based on which notes a guest already knew and wore. The on-site team wore custom branded t-shirts and bucket hats for both activation days, a look that kept the crew identifiable and on-brand in a crowd. Bucket hats doubled as guest giveaways, distributed along with branded tote bags to the first 100 guests at each location. The early-arrival incentive helped build a line before service even opened, setting the tone for the day at both stops. Across two NYC neighborhoods and two days, the #SOLSUMMER activation gave Sol de Janeiro a direct line to summer fragrance shoppers at the exact moment layering season begins, translating a seasonal campaign concept into a hands-on, sensory experience guests could taste, smell, and take home. The activation reinforced Sweeter's ability to execute multi-market campaigns with the same level of detail and consistency from one borough to the next, without compromising on custom fabrication, permitting, or staffing quality at either stop. From the SoHo storefronts to the Williamsburg sidewalks, the trailer, the crew, and the fragrance consultations stayed consistent even as the neighborhood, the crowd, and the pace of the day changed.
