The Role:
Responsible for the day-to-day administrative maintenance of Rakuten Kobo’s publisher contracts, and first point of contact for sales report and contract management queries. A major contributor to collecting, tracking, and reporting on catalogue KPIs and supporting project/launch deliverables.

Our team’s core meeting hours are between 9am ET and 1pm ET to allow for collaboration with our EU-based team.
Key Responsibilities:
Publisher and Distributor Support
- First point of contact for publishers and distributors with questions regarding selling content on Kobo, contracts, sales reports, and payment issues.
- Support Project Specialist, Publisher Relations, and Finance teams with contract, sales report investigations, and publisher payment issues.
- Assist with publisher configuration and onboarding. Maintain configuration tracker to monitor progress of publisher onboarding
Reporting
- Creating and maintaining metadata and catalogue health trackers, report on weekly changes, anomalous behaviour, and patterns.
- Perform catalogue investigations as needed
- Assist in ad hoc report requests as needed
Projects
- Gather and/or prepare assets for affiliate projects and track deliveries and progress
- Support new product and territory launches.
- Assist Project Specialist with building project proposals and plans as needed
- As needed, assist Project Specialist by building and maintaining trackers to monitor project readiness
Technology Administration and Maintenance
(Effects, Insight, Nav. publisher contact, etc)
- Onboard, educate, and support publishers on Insight use; investigate and report bugs to appropriate owners.
- Maintain up-to-date publisher contacts for Publisher Relations, Content Management, and PR use.
- Develop maintenance and update schedule to ensure data consistency across all account management platforms.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2+ years experience in publishing industry or similar
- Knowledge of digital publishing and/or processes an asset
- Experience working with Excel is required
- Experience communicating with external clients is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Asana and JIRA an asset but not required
- Demonstrated ability to gather, organize, and analyze data
- Excellent organizational skills, strong initiative, and the ability to keep cool under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal skills, including good judgment on when to get face-to-face over Zoom, quick message over Slack, or email
- Ability to work independently with a decentralized team working across borders and time zones
- Comfortable reaching out to team members with questions or if they foresee issues with project delivery
