Indorama Ventures advances circular fashion through RECO Collective 2026, empowering three Thai brands to transform rPET into market-driven sustainable fashion and lifestyle products.

Indorama Ventures advances circular fashion through RECO Collective 2026, empowering three Thai brands to transform rPET into market-driven sustainable fashion and lifestyle products. 01 Sep 2026 Collaborating with Thai brands CHANA, KH EDITIONS, and APPEAL Summerwear, together with Bulliontex, to transform recycled PET (rPET) into circular fashion that combines style and functionality with practical everyday use. Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL), a global sustainable chemical company, is taking RECO Collective into its 12th year under the theme "The Next Original," reinforcing its mission to promote recycling and upcycling knowledge while encouraging SMEs in the fashion industry to embrace recycled materials. The program focuses particularly on recycled polyester (rPET) yarns and fabrics made from post-consumer PET bottles, using these materials to create value-added products that combine distinctive design with consumer needs and market opportunities. Through collaboration across the value chain, from textile manufacturers and designers to industry partners, RECO Collective brings together stakeholders with a shared ambition to advance sustainability in business. This year, RECO Collective is working with three distinctive Thai fashion brands: CHANA, led by Mr. Chanajit Noodech; KH EDITIONS, led by Mr. Naphat Tansuwan and Ms. Panisara Maneerat; and APPEAL Summerwear, led by Ms. Thanawan Chantasahawat and Ms. Kansiri Chantasahawat. The designers will participate in the RECO Incubation Lab, an incubation program designed to deepen their understanding of circular materials and refine their concepts through a Circular Design process. From material selection and design to production trials and prototyping, the program equips participating brands with practical knowledge of sustainable design and management, enabling them to create products that meet functional and consumer needs while opening broader market opportunities. To support this year's learning and product development process, RECO Collective is collaborating with Bulliontex Co., Ltd., an experienced textile specialist and fabric developer. Bulliontex is providing recycled polyester fabrics for participating designers to experiment with and develop into finished products. The company will also contribute as a knowledge partner, sharing expertise and practical guidance on textile innovation, material properties, and ways to apply recycled materials effectively across different design and functional requirements. This collaboration is part of a broader effort to build a fashion ecosystem connecting raw-material producers, textile specialists, designers, and industry partners. Bulliontex transforms recycled polyester yarns from Indorama Ventures into high-quality fabrics suitable for further design applications, helping to connect recycled raw materials with fabric development, design, and ultimately value-added products. Collaboration among all stakeholders is therefore central to transforming Circular Fashion from concept into practice - connecting materials, manufacturing, design, and finished products. At the same time, this approach creates new opportunities for Thai fashion brands and helps unlock greater value from recycled materials throughout the value chain. Ms. Aradhana Lohia Sharma, Vice President - Finance and Wool Business, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, said: "Fashion and lifestyle consumers look beyond a sustainability story. They also expect quality, feel, functionality, and products that work in everyday life. RECO Collective demonstrates that rPET is not simply an alternative material for sustainability; with the right development and design, it can become a value-creating material for high-quality fashion and lifestyle products with distinctive design and real commercial potential. When material technology meets creativity, new possibilities emerge. At Indorama Ventures, we are bringing together our expertise in PET and recycling with designers, textile manufacturers, and entrepreneurs to help bring circular materials into real-world applications and create value throughout the value chain." Ms. Kamolnart Ongwandee, Program Director of RECO Incubation Lab, said: "Encouraging consumers to choose products made from recycled materials takes more than a sustainability story. The products themselves must be desirable, functional, and relevant to the way people live. A designer's role is therefore not simply to incorporate rPET into a product, but to understand the material and use creativity to unlock its full potential. RECO Incubation Lab encourages designers to consider the entire product journey - from concept, material, and production method through to real-world use. When material knowledge comes together with design thinking and consumer understanding, rPET can evolve from a recycled material into distinctive designs that create value." Mr. Kovitthad Sirikulthad, Managing Director of Bulliontex Co., Ltd., said: "Bulliontex is delighted to join RECO Collective as a textile partner and to build on our longstanding relationship with Indorama Ventures, one of our polyester yarn suppliers. Over the years, we have continuously developed fabrics using yarns from Indorama Ventures. This collaboration marks another important step in combining Bulliontex's textile expertise with recycled polyester fibers to create high-quality fabrics designed for real-world applications. We believe that Circular Fashion cannot be achieved by any one player alone. It requires collaboration across the entire value chain - from raw materials and manufacturing to design and end use. Our partnership with Indorama Ventures through RECO Collective demonstrates how expertise from different parts of the industry can come together to create new value from materials and translate sustainability into practice. This collaboration is not simply about using recycled materials; it is about transforming those materials from an idea into tangible value and contributing to a more sustainable future for the textile industry." Through this collaboration, the partners hope to see concepts evolve into products that not only deliver on design and functionality, but also have the potential for commercial success reflecting a shared belief that good fashion should create value for while helping shape a more sustainable tomorrow.

Indorama Ventures develops fibre-Integrated odour capture for hygiene and technical textiles.

Indorama Ventures develops fibre-Integrated odour capture for hygiene and technical textiles. August 28, 2026 The patented, fragrance-free technology traps odour-causing molecules inside polyolefin and polyester fibre structures, offering an alternative to masking agents and antimicrobial approaches. Indorama Ventures will unveil a new fibre-integrated odour-control technology at the Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress in Austria on September 16-18, 2026, targeting absorbent hygiene and technical-textile applications where persistent malodour remains a difficult performance problem. Unlike conventional approaches that use fragrances to cover smells, the technology is designed to capture a broad spectrum of volatile organic compounds responsible for odour generation. Indorama says the functionality is incorporated directly into the fibre structure, potentially providing longer-lasting performance without depending on an applied perfume. Non-biocidal approach A notable feature is that the system is non-biocidal and fragrance-free, differentiating it from antimicrobial odour-control technologies that suppress microorganisms. The technology is compatible with both polyolefin and polyester fibres, opening applications across nonwoven structures used in adult incontinence, feminine hygiene and other absorbent products, as well as technical applications including air-conditioning systems. Indorama says the technology has been evaluated using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, sensory testing and real urine samples. Trials across different fibre configurations showed enhanced capture of odour-associated VOCs. The company plans a live demonstration at Dornbirn. From R&D to commercial fibre platform The development builds on earlier odour-trapping research within Indorama Ventures' hygiene operations. Its 2024 Sustainability Report identified next-generation odour trapping among the technologies under development within the group's hygiene portfolio. The resulting bicomponent-fibre products will be marketed under expera, Indorama's platform for hygiene fibres designed to add sensory, visual or tactile functionality. For nonwoven manufacturers, the commercial opportunity lies in adding odour management at fibre level rather than through downstream coatings or fragrances. The next evidence needed is quantitative: capture efficiency by compound, durability during storage and use, fibre-additive cost, processing compatibility and performance at industrial production speeds. Those figures will determine whether the technology becomes a differentiated premium feature or a broadly adopted hygiene-fibre functionality.

Capturing malodor rather than masking it: Indorama Ventures presents innovative odor capturing technology at Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress.

Capturing malodor rather than masking it: Indorama Ventures presents innovative odor capturing technology at Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress. 27 Aug 2026 Enabling customers to deliver greater comfort, confidence and well-being to consumers Indorama Ventures, a global leader in fibers and nonwovens serving customers in hygiene and technical markets, will present its latest technological innovation in odor management at the Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress. The innovation has been developed to address one of the most important yet challenging performance requirements in absorbent hygiene and technical products: effective odor control. By incorporating odor-capturing functionality for a broad spectrum of odor-causing compounds directly into the fiber structure, the technology helps manufacturers create products that actively capture odor-causing molecules rather than simply masking them. This enables a more effective and long-lasting approach to odor management while maintaining the comfort and performance consumers expect, for instance from adult incontinence and feminine care products, as well as from technical products such as air conditioning systems. "Consumers don't simply want odors to be covered up. They want products that help them feel comfortable, confident and protected throughout the day," said Anne Louise Theut Meier, R&D Engineer for Textiles and Nonwoven Fibers at Indorama Ventures. "This is why our customers are looking for meaningful improvements to the user experience. This patented technology is a non-biocidal, and fragrance-free approach compatible with polyolefin and polyester fibers. It has undergone extensive evaluation using a combination of analytical and real-use testing methodologies. These included gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis, sensory evaluations and testing with real urine samples to ensure that measurable laboratory performance translates into meaningful consumer benefits." During the conference, Anne Louise will demonstrate enhanced capture of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) associated with odor generation when the odor-capturing technology was incorporated into various fiber configurations. Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a live demonstration themselves. The technology further strengthens Indorama Ventures' position as a partner for innovation in the hygiene and technical sector. Through its global manufacturing footprint and dedicated research and development capabilities, the company continues to develop solutions that help customers address evolving market needs across adult incontinence, feminine care, baby care as well as technical applications. The respective bi-component fiber portfolio will be marketed under the product brand platform "expera", which includes solutions that deliver superior sensory, visual, or haptic appeal.
