Marriott Autograph Collection to open Serengeti Safari Camp.

Marriott Autograph Collection to open Serengeti Safari Camp. Marriott is expanding its presence in one of Africa's most iconic wildlife regions with a new luxury camp in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. The Mereshi Safari Camp Serengeti, part of the Autograph Collection, is scheduled to welcome guests in November and will offer 18 tented suites designed for immersive safari stays. The property sits on traditional Ikoma land near the Fort Ikoma airstrip, giving travelers quick access to daily game drives and the park's renowned wildlife. ([1]) Thoughtful tent design for sunrise moments. Each of the 18 suites spans 775 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Built with timber, stone, and canvas, the tents incorporate natural materials and locally sourced woven textiles along with greenwood furniture. Private east-facing decks are positioned to capture prime sunrise views over the landscape. Guests can also expect sumptuous beds and outdoor showers that bring the surrounding environment closer. The design draws on the work of Arusha-based firm Dunia Designs, which previously created another Autograph Collection camp in the same region. The result emphasizes comfort without losing connection to the setting. Would you like to save this? Travelbinger'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later. Lodge inspired by local acacia trees. The main lodge takes its shape from indigenous acacia trees and houses a bar plus shared lounging and dining areas. Nearby sits a private boma for firelit dinners under the stars, while a deck overlooks a water feature. Additional facilities include a small spa, a pool, a fitness center, and a curio shop for souvenirs. The restaurant Mila operates as an indoor-outdoor space that keeps diners linked to the outdoors. It serves breakfast after morning drives, family-style lunches, and relaxed dinners following evening game drives. Experiences and practical details. Two shared game drives and guided walks each day are included, along with refreshments. All meals, select beverages, return transfers from the Fort Ikoma or Seronera airstrips, a traditional boma dining experience, laundry service, and Wi-Fi round out the standard offerings. Bookings are already open for stays beginning January 4, 2027. Nightly rates start at $1,967 for double occupancy. An opening promotion runs from January 4 through March 27 and awards 25,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points on eligible stays booked with code S2449. Part of a broader safari expansion. Marriott entered the safari sector in 2023 with the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge and has since added several other camps across Kenya and Tanzania. The new Serengeti property continues that pattern of growth in high-demand wildlife destinations. Travelers interested in the camp can monitor Marriott's site for award redemption details, which are expected to align with rates at the sister property Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti. The St Regis hotel brand is coming to Marbella with a project involving an investment of 500 million.

The St Regis hotel brand is coming to Marbella with a project involving an investment of 500 million. International news 2026-10-21 The investment group Platinum Estates and Sierra Blanca have reached an agreement with Marriott to build a luxury resort and 151 homes in Las Dunas. An investment of over 500 million euros in a five-star hotel with 169 rooms and 151 luxury homes, which will create 2,000 direct jobs and 4,500 indirect jobs during its construction, and more than 450 jobs once it becomes operational. These are the spectacular figures that sum up the hotel and branded residential development to be built in the Las Dunas area, in east Marbella. The figures have been put on the table following the signing of an agreement reached by Platinum Estates, a Hong Kong-based property investment group, and the Marbella-based developer Sierra Blanca Estates with Marriott International to bring this investment to fruition. The hotel will be known as the St Regis Marbella Resort, while the residential area will be called The Residences at St Regis Marbella Resort. The agreement covers the entire development, and construction is expected to begin this year, with the opening scheduled for 2031. This will be the first Marriott hotel on the Costa del Sol to operate under its luxury St Regis brand. Planned for a seafront plot of over 160,000 square metres in Marbella, the project will also feature amenities within a destination designed to operate all year round. The site offers over 350 metres of seafront, protected by a natural dune system (the Real de Zaragoza dune, which will be regenerated), which preserves its privacy and provides guests and owners with direct access to one of Marbella's best-preserved stretches of beach.
