Requirements
  • The candidate must have 9 to 12 years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, Generative AI engineering, natural language processing, software engineering, data engineering, advanced analytics, AI strategy, or related consulting or technology roles.
  • The candidate must have experience leading AI, Generative AI, or advanced analytics workstreams, including solution design, data assessment, model evaluation, technical delivery, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • The candidate must have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, AI or ML, or another quantitative or technical discipline.
  • The candidate must have strong technical knowledge of machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model evaluation, model monitoring, and AI application architecture.
  • The candidate must have hands-on proficiency with Python and SQL.
  • The candidate must be able to assess model performance, solution reliability, data quality, hallucination risk, bias and fairness, explainability, limitations, controls, and business-use alignment.
  • The candidate must have experience writing and reviewing senior-stakeholder-ready technical documentation, implementation plans, governance materials, and client deliverables.
  • The candidate must have strong project management skills, including managing multiple workstreams, deadlines, risks, stakeholders, and junior team members.
  • The candidate must have verbal and written communication skills sufficient to translate complex AI and Generative AI topics into practical business, risk, and technology implications.
Responsibilities
  • Lead AI, machine learning, and Generative AI workstreams from use-case discovery and solution design through prototyping, evaluation, deployment readiness, and adoption support.
  • Define technical scope, delivery approach, architecture options, workplans, quality standards, and success metrics for complex AI and Generative AI engagements.
  • Partner with clients to identify high-value AI opportunities, assess feasibility, prioritize use cases, and translate business needs into data, model, platform, and governance requirements.
  • Lead development and review of Generative AI applications such as retrieval-augmented-generation knowledge assistants, document intelligence solutions, enterprise copilots, workflow agents, semantic search, summarization and extraction tools, and prompt-driven analytics.
  • Advise on model and platform choices, including commercial large language models, open-source models, small language models, vector databases, cloud AI services, integration patterns, and build-versus-buy considerations.
  • Oversee experimentation, prompt engineering, retrieval design, fine-tuning and adaptation approaches, benchmarking, model evaluation, performance monitoring, and issue remediation.
  • Establish responsible AI, large language model operations, machine learning operations, model governance, privacy, security, human-in-the-loop, auditability, and monitoring practices for AI-enabled solutions.
  • Review code, solution designs, documentation, demos, technical findings, and client deliverables to ensure analytical quality and client readiness.
  • Manage and coach junior team members, ensuring strong problem structuring, engineering discipline, documentation quality, and timely delivery.
  • Partner with Oliver Wyman consultants and partners to shape proposals, client conversations, reusable assets, and thought leadership on AI and Generative AI.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience delivering enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions in regulated or complex environments such as financial services, insurance, risk, finance, operations, customer service, or knowledge management.
  • Experience developing or reviewing responsible AI frameworks, AI governance policies, large language model evaluation standards, model risk controls, monitoring frameworks, and remediation plans.
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI-compatible APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, MLflow, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience scaling AI prototypes into production-ready products, including integration design, security review, testing, change management, adoption tracking, and value measurement.
  • Consulting experience or experience in client-facing AI, analytics, product, technology, or transformation roles.
  • Experience shaping proposals, solution blueprints, accelerators, thought leadership, or commercial discussions around AI and Generative AI.

US employers plan 3.2% merit pay rises for 2027 amid economic uncertainty

US employers plan to maintain moderate salary increases in 2027, according to Marsh's Mercer QuickPulse survey of 1,001 organisations. Base salary merit increases are projected at 3.2%, with total salary increases at 3.5%, marking four consecutive years of similar rates. Economic uncertainty continues influencing compensation decisions, with 57% of employers expecting at least moderate impact. High Tech (3.8%), Banking (3.7%), and Energy (3.6%) lead in merit budgets, whilst Consumer Goods (2.9%) and Healthcare (3.0%) lag behind. Employers expect to promote 8.4% of their workforce in 2027, down from 8.6% in 2026. Off-cycle salary adjustments remain common, with 64% of organisations providing them. AI adoption in compensation planning is growing, with 70% of organisations reporting some automation, primarily for market pricing recommendations and benchmarking.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Marsh reported Q1 revenue of $7.6 billion, up 7.6% year-over-year, beating the consensus estimate of $7.38 billion by 2.88%. Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
