Requirements
  • A South Carolina or compact-state Registered Nurse license is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • The role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform manual dexterity and fine-motor tasks, lift and move patients or medical equipment, read charts and monitors accurately, communicate effectively and perceive alarms, handle the physical and emotional demands of patient care, navigate clinical environments, and comply with infection-control protocols and personal protective equipment requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age- and developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Provide patient- and family-centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs; develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and implement interventions, coordinate care, provide health teaching and promotion, and evaluate goals and interventions.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment by ensuring patient privacy and demonstrating responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
  • Participate in shared governance, adhere to standards of care, participate in peer review and professional development, promote leadership and clinical excellence, work effectively in teams, practice autonomously, remain accountable for actions, and apply critical thinking.
  • Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services through care-management principles, identify clinical priorities, and initiate actions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Promote a healthy work environment and accept personal responsibility for professional growth.
