Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, speech-language hearing sciences, or a related healthcare field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Spanish and English language proficiency, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working with and/or providing services to individuals from diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with management, customers, and sites.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients by responding to phone and email inquiries in a timely, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Manage and coordinate patient referrals, appointments, and scheduling accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct intake interviews and support the initial stages of clinic intake and scheduling.
  • Initiate and manage intake documentation, including consent forms and required client paperwork.
  • Educate potential clients on available services and expectations for the intake and therapy process.
  • Document all client interactions in tracking systems and the electronic medical record, ensuring timely, thorough, and organized recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate client scheduling and referrals in partnership with clinical staff to support timely and appropriate access to care.
  • Update and maintain electronic shared files, forms, and SharePoint sites for the clinical team.
  • Assist the director of clinical education with document creation, control, and accessibility for operating procedures, training and onboarding processes, and college and departmental directives.
  • Complete purchasing and requisitions required for clinic operations and clinical education.
  • Resolve unexpected issues and exercise independent judgment while facilitating clinical operations.
  • Create a dashboard to track clients participating in grant-funded clinical activities and support the clinical education team with grant management related to clinical service provision.
  • Generate monthly grant report summaries.
  • Establish and maintain affiliation agreements with community partners.
  • Arrange work-related travel for the clinical team and complete associated reporting and requisitions.
  • Coordinate and complete outreach for graduate student externship placements with support.
  • Work closely with the director of clinical education and academic department coordinator to complete budget-related tracking and reporting for the clinic.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with medical billing.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records.
  • HIPAA certification or experience with HIPAA.
  • Familiarity with the speech-language pathology scope of practice.
  • Previous experience with clinical or medical office administration.
  • SLPA certification or experience.
