  • Human Resources-related experience in public education is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Provide human resources leadership related to employee relations and all personnel matters.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with campus and District personnel.
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to campuses and departments regarding personnel issues.
  • Serve as a hearing officer for grievances as appropriate.
  • Participate in activities that promote positive relationships between HR team members, the District, and the community.
  • Communicate and cooperate with staff members to contribute to the effectiveness of the Human Resources Department.
  • Maintain visibility, accountability, and accessibility through regular interactions with campuses.
  • Resolve problems by evaluating alternatives and developing cohesive solutions.
  • Address parent or community concerns at the central office level.
  • Balance the needs of central administration, campus educators, students, parents, and the community when resolving conflicts.
  • Analyze relevant data, research, and state or District reports to assist supervisors and the Chief Human Resources Officer with recommendations, solutions, and change implementation.
  • Plan proactively to meet the needs of a fast-growth organization.
  • Facilitate and participate in District recruiting and retention initiatives.
  • Work with principals and supervisors to screen and interview candidates and recommend personnel selection and assignment.
  • Assist supervisors with staff evaluations, professional growth plans, due process procedures, and contract non-renewals.
  • Conduct District investigations as assigned.
  • Facilitate public information requests for Human Resources.
  • Stay current with human resources issues and best practices through professional organizations, publications, and conferences.
  • Provide professional development on human resources issues.
  • Assist with teacher allocation and assignment processes as needed.
  • Facilitate the orientation program for new professional personnel.
  • Assist with the preparation and revision of job descriptions and position classifications.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of salary, benefits, and other compensation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local personnel policies and other supervision-related requirements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate personnel records in accordance with administrative regulations, federal guidelines, District policy, and Texas Education Agency requirements.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer, Superintendent, or Superintendent designee.
