Requirements
Must have a driver's license.
Automotive industry background is required.
Must possess thorough knowledge of all facets of automotive maintenance and repair.
Must be able to use manual and power hand tools and other machinery safely.
Must understand oral and written directions and instructions in English.
Must be able to safely operate a vehicle lift.
Must be able to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmission.
Must obtain and maintain required Occupational Safety and Health Administration training certification.
Responsibilities
Perform work on repair orders in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
Keep customer vehicles clean while they are being repaired.
Road-test vehicles to ensure repair quality.
Document work performed on repair orders.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Use hazardous chemicals according to product labels and Material Safety Data Sheets.
Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures, and immediately report accidents, hazards, or equipment defects to management.
Perform duties in a professional, legal, and ethical manner.
Work and communicate with the team and communicate with customers about repairs or future needs.
Desired Qualifications
Kia experience is preferred.
CDK experience is listed as a qualification.
North County Kia is in search of a dedicated Automotive Technician with a passion for automobiles, superb attention to detail and following safety protocol, performing excellent vehicle repair work, and ensuring customer satisfaction to contribute to the success of the team, the dealership and the brand.
Our Technicians perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Salary: $33.80 per hour + Flag Rate . Flag Rate is determined by your experience.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
Perform work on repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean while being repaired.
Road-test vehicles to ensure repair quality.
Documents work performed on repair order.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Uses all hazardous chemicals in accordance to product labels and Material Safety Data Sheets.
Adheres to all safety rules, policies, and procedures, and immediately reports any accidents, hazards or equipment defects to management.
Performs all duties in a professional, legal and ethical manner.
Work & communicate well with the team and successfully communicate with customers on repairs or future needs
