Requirements
  • Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems, including electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, fire and life safety, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration required standards and safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some technical school training and certification.
  • Three years of building maintenance experience.
  • A valid driver's license may be necessary.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid non-gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, lift up to 25 pounds overhead and at arm's length, perform assisted lifting that may exceed 200 pounds, stretch, reach, push, pull, and climb.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 casino environment with exposure to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, loud noises, and areas where smoking is allowed.
Responsibilities
  • Operate, repair, and maintain the casino, hotel, and event spaces.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Perform inspections and tours, repairing or reporting any issues.
  • Make building repairs such as drywall, wallpaper, flooring, ceiling, and furniture repairs as needed.
  • Monitor building fire alarm, temperature control, lighting, and access systems.
  • Respond to emergencies such as leaks, power or heating, ventilation and air conditioning outages, or fire alarms.
