Hewlett Packard Enterprise

View

Hewlett Packard Enterprise sells servers, storage, networking and hybrid cloud software to large companies, governments and service providers. Its GreenLake platform lets customers run on-premises hardware as a metered cloud service, and its Cray supercomputers run national lab and AI training workloads. The networking business, built on Aruba and Juniper Networks, supplies campus, data-center and routing equipment. Revenue comes from hardware sales, multiyear support contracts, financing and subscriptions. The company traces its roots to Hewlett-Packard, founded in 1939, became a separate public company in 2015 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

HPE picks ServiceNow for five-year AI support deal across its Cloud & AI business

HPE has picked ServiceNow to run support services for its Cloud & AI business under a five-year agreement, ServiceNow announced on October 28, 2026. The deal aims to deliver AI-powered support at scale. HPE will use the ServiceNow AI Platform as a single base for case and service management. Its Super Intelligence Control Tower will let HPE discover, secure, govern, observe, and measure AI agents, models, and identities, and stop any agent that acts outside its permissions. The rollout also covers customer service, field technician dispatch, data integration, hardware asset tracking, and returns handling. "Support is a critical part of the customer experience," said Mark Bakker, executive vice president and general manager, Operations, at HPE.

HPE shares rise 4% to $57.46 on AI and lunar computing news, outpacing Dell and Super Micro

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) shares rose about 4% to $57.46, outpacing other AI server stocks. Dell Technologies gained roughly 2% to $462.42, while Super Micro Computer was essentially unchanged at $33.73. The S&P 500 ETF SPY slipped 0.34% to $761.35, while the Global X Data Center & Digital Infrastructure ETF rose about 2% to $25.39. HPE expanded its AI Factory offerings with NVIDIA and deepened a partnership with Schneider Electric to deploy industrial AI agents at the edge. It also said its Spaceborne Computer-4 will travel to the Moon's south pole on Astrolab's FLIP rover later this year. Investors may be favouring HPE's broader mix of enterprise, edge, and specialised computing over narrower peers.

HPE shares fall 6.14% to $54.60 as it backs Nvidia OpenShell and Vera CPU racks

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) plans to support Nvidia OpenShell and introduce Vera CPU rack infrastructure. The move targets businesses that want tighter control over autonomous AI systems, sensitive data, and computing resources. HPE shares traded at $54.60, down 6.14%, at 11:20 EST on Thursday. In its fiscal third quarter, Cloud and AI revenue reached $9.0 billion, up 25.4% from a year earlier. The segment's operating margin rose to 17% from 7%. GuruFocus puts the shares 90.98% above its $28.59 GF Value estimate, suggesting investors still expect strong growth. HPE must now turn its AI offering into revenue and cash flow while defending its margin gains.

Schneider Electric, NVIDIA and HPE launch edge AI agents for process industries

Schneider Electric, NVIDIA and HPE have announced a collaboration to bring Physical AI to process and heavy industries. They unveiled Industrial AI Agents at the Edge in Berlin on October 22, 2026. The system runs on HPE Private Cloud AI, so autonomous agents work inside industrial sites. It targets three barriers to adoption: data sovereignty, cybersecurity, and AI consumption costs. The first three agents cover operational technology monitoring, cybersecurity, and energy optimisation. Customers manage them through Schneider's EcoStruxure Industrial Insights apps. CMPC Chile, a Latin American pulp and paper producer, has used Schneider's monitoring system for three years. It sees potential for AI agents to help its specialists investigate issues faster, while people stay in control of critical decisions.

HPE to run AI on the Moon this year with Spaceborne Computer 4 aboard Astrolab's FLIP rover

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) will run AI on the Moon before the end of the year. Its fourth-generation Spaceborne Computer (SBC4) will fly aboard Astrolab's Flex Lunar Innovation Platform (FLIP) rover, part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services programme. A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket will launch the rover, and Astrobotic's Griffin-1 lander will carry it to the Moon's south pole near Mons Mouton. SBC4 will run tuned large language model tests, machine learning on camera and LiDAR data, and supercomputing benchmarks, which could make it the first Top500 submission from a celestial body. The 1TB system uses mostly off-the-shelf parts, including Kioxia SSDs in a software RAID 1 mirror. Processing data locally saves scarce bandwidth back to Earth.
