Requirements
  • A Doctorate of Audiology degree is required; a Master's degree is accepted if the candidate was grandfathered in.
  • Continuing education credits are required.
  • Employees must complete all required education on time under DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, internet applications, and standard office equipment is required.
  • The role requires sound judgment, patience, professional conduct, emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills, tact, discretion, sensitivity, confidentiality, and strong verbal and written communication.
  • Regular and sustained attendance is required; the position may include weekends, after-hours shifts, work beyond 40 hours per week, and on-call work.
  • The role requires the physical ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, sit occasionally, stand and walk repeatedly, climb rarely, twist/bend/stoop/kneel repeatedly, reach above shoulder level repeatedly, push and pull repeatedly, and perform fine-finger movements continuously.
  • The role requires continuous close visual acuity, cognitive focus and independent task completion, and exposure management related to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals and medications, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging patient situations.
Responsibilities
  • Perform essential hearing services using technology, computers, and testing equipment.
  • Work with other healthcare professionals, make appropriate referrals, and follow through on appropriate hearing health.
  • Conduct hearing evaluations ranging from basic to complex.
  • Fit and program hearing aids and other devices, including ordering and pricing.
  • Collaborate with other providers and third-party payers.
  • Provide education and instruction to patients.
  • Document all appointments in the medical record.

  • Experience with hearing evaluations and interpretations.
  • Knowledge of hearing aid fitting and programming.
