Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience closing B2B deals owned end to end, ideally involving technical or API-led products; comparable experience leading commercial projects with senior stakeholders also counts.
  • Strong understanding of the sales motion for application programming interface products.
  • Evidence of independently owning a market or segment rather than working leads handed to you.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships across product, information technology, and procurement, including stakeholders not directly introduced to you.
  • Willingness to learn energy retail, consumer tariffs, demand-side flexibility, and connected devices properly.
  • Based in Europe and able to travel for customer meetings and three off-sites a year.
Responsibilities
  • Own scoping, technical validation, negotiation, and contracting for energy retailers and strategic accounts in the assigned segment, and carry the sales quota.
  • Build trusted relationships with heads of product and heads of innovation at energy retailers before formal projects begin by understanding their propositions and markets.
  • Map the complete stakeholder landscape on every live deal, including unintroduced champions, across product, information technology, trading, and procurement.
  • Build the commercial case that motivates slow-moving buyers to act within the current budget cycle.
  • Scope use cases across Connect, the optimization tooling, and Flex without requiring an engineer in the room, and identify when to involve a customer engineering manager.
  • Run technical validation with the customer engineering counterpart from the initial sandbox discussion through a production integration trusted by the customer.
  • Convert successful deals into reusable sales materials, sequences, and objection handling for the broader team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience selling to energy retailers, utilities, e-mobility companies, or business-to-business software-as-a-service platforms.
  • Experience working at a company where the sales motion was still being created rather than inherited.
  • A second European language.

Enode provides a subscription-based API that connects and controls a wide range of distributed energy resources (DERs) through a single interface. It supports devices like electric vehicles, home EV chargers, solar inverters, home batteries, and HVAC systems to enable smart charging, demand response, and energy optimization. By unifying integrations across about 45 OEMs and 300+ devices, it reduces the work for energy providers to connect with many manufacturers. Its goal is to help scale green energy applications by making it easier to deploy DER management solutions across the enterprise.
