  • Experience deploying services to Kubernetes and familiarity with pods, deployments, services, basic cluster debugging, kubectl, and YAML.
  • Experience using Helm to deploy applications, understanding charts and values files, and troubleshooting failed releases.
  • Some infrastructure-as-code experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or GitOps workflows such as FluxCD or ArgoCD.
  • Exposure to AWS or GCP and understanding of basic compute, networking, and storage primitives.
  • Ability to write scripts in Bash, Python, or Go to automate repetitive tasks and build simple tools.
  • Foundational experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL, or other persistent services, and understanding of backups, schema management, and connection handling.
  • Willingness to learn, ask for help, and investigate unfamiliar areas with teammate support.
  • Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Operate production Temporal infrastructure by deploying updates, monitoring cluster health, responding to alerts, and maintaining availability across multiple environments using Helm, Kubernetes, and FluxCD.
  • Automate operational work by writing scripts and workflows for safe, repeatable deployments, upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting, reducing manual toil over time.
  • Support capacity planning and performance tuning by tracking resource utilization, identifying bottlenecks, tuning configurations, and contributing to capacity forecasts under guidance.
  • Instrument services with metrics and logs, improve dashboards, and refine alerting to identify problems before they affect users.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and incident response, triage and escalate issues, and write runbooks for future on-call responders.
  • Use FluxCD for GitOps workflows, manage infrastructure as code, submit configuration-change pull requests, and learn declarative deployment pipelines.
  • Investigate deployment failures, connectivity problems, and performance degradations with teammates, determining root causes and preventive fixes.
  • Help internal engineers onboard to Temporal, answer questions, debug integration issues, and contribute adoption documentation.
  • Develop infrastructure skills through work with PostgreSQL, AWS or GCP, Kubernetes networking, Helm chart management, certificate rotation, secret management, and distributed systems operations under mentorship.
  • Deploy Temporal upgrades across environments, automate recurring operational tasks, respond to on-call pages, write incident summaries, and improve dashboards or runbooks during the first few months.
  • Take ownership of operations for specific Temporal components or environments, identify performance issues and propose tuning strategies, contribute to capacity planning and cost optimization discussions, and help onboard new engineers to operational practices over the first year.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience operating workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Airflow, Prefect, or Cadence.
  • Experience using FluxCD or ArgoCD in production.
  • Exposure to distributed tracing or observability platforms.
  • Experience with Go, used by the organization’s services and many consuming applications.
  • Previous work on internal platform teams or DevOps infrastructure roles.
  • Understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning and operational best practices.
  • Familiarity with multi-region infrastructure deployment and failover patterns.

About the company

CrowdStrike builds cybersecurity software for organizations that need to protect computers, cloud workloads, identities and data from digital attacks. Its Falcon platform combines these defenses in one cloud system, using a lightweight sensor on devices to collect activity and detect suspicious behavior. Security teams investigate alerts and automate responses through a shared console, while the platform connects information from different parts of a business to reveal attacks that isolated tools miss. Customers pay subscription fees based on the products and assets covered, and CrowdStrike also charges for incident response services. CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 and is based in Austin, Texas.
