The Opportunity
Are you a self-motivated solutions consultant that wants to support innovative technology sales, while also solving crime? If you thrive in a competitive, high velocity, and mission-driven environment, this is a game-changing opportunity for you.
Flock is looking to add a Solutions Consultant, Local Markets to our growing Public Safety sales team. This person will play a key role in helping Flock grow by refining the sales process and removing barriers for the sales team. Your primary customer base will be Law Enforcement agencies. This position is based out of your home office, travel is expected to be minimal.
The Skillset
You are energized by change.
2+ years in a customer facing presales / sales engineering role engineering role in the physical security, law enforcement technology, or real time video space required.
Comfortable with software+hardware solutions.
Demonstrable understanding and track record of contributing to the sales process. You enjoy working in a high velocity/volume sales environment.
Self-starter mentality with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and a demonstrable track record of becoming a solution subject matter expert.
Strong presentation and demonstration skills, both in person and virtually.
Energized by solving customers’ problems and progressing sales opportunities.
Law enforcement background and experience using Flock Safety solutions are plusses.

90 Days at Flock
We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Solutions Consultant, Local Markets at Flock Safety.
The First 30 Days
You’ll complete company onboarding, begin to understand the solution and meet the rest of the Solutions Consultant team, shadowing them on customer calls.
The First 60 Days
You’ll become proficient in the tooling, deliverables and relationships that make a Solutions Consultant successful.
90 Days & Beyond
At the end of 90 days, you are flying solo and displaying all characteristics of a Solutions Consultant at Flock Safety. You’ve earned the trust of your customers, sales team and cross-functional stakeholders.
The Interview Process
We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way.
Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are.
The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.
The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
Salary & Equity
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $80,000 to $100,000 as well as stock options.

At Flock Safety, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. The range above is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
