Youth Sports Coach - Hours
About the job
- Experience playing or coaching soccer or other sports is required.
- Must commit to a consistent weekly schedule for the 10–12 week seasons.
- Must be available at least one weekend day each week.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Must be comfortable traveling to different program locations, typically up to 30–40 minutes one way.
- Must have strong communication and time-management skills in English.
- Must be enthusiastic, dependable, professional, and comfortable leading groups of children.
- Lead soccer and/or multi-sport classes and camps.
- Teach age-appropriate sports skills, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Follow the structured curriculum and lesson plans.
- Create a positive, safe, and encouraging environment.
- Keep children engaged through games, activities, and creative themes.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and partner locations.
- Deliver a positive experience in every class.
- Experience working with children as a coach, teacher, camp counselor, childcare provider, recreation leader, athlete, or in a similar role.
