Requirements
  • Experience as a Commis Chef is sought.
  • Passion for working with wine and local products sustainably.
Responsibilities
  • Prevent food deterioration through daily checks and ensure all food received and dispatched meets the property's established standards.
  • Ensure training on preparation, hygiene, and food hygiene standards is communicated, understood, and followed by subordinates.
  • Check the quality of raw materials in the designated area, including their storage, handling, and use.
  • Produce all required food to standards and on time within the designated section.
  • Maintain consistent quality and continuously improve products produced in the designated area.
  • Prepare all mise en place and meet with the Chef de Partie or Subchef to plan daily food and beverage activities.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality of products served.
  • Consistently follow standard portion sizes, preparation methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules and guidelines.
  • Restock and maintain sufficient food product levels at service stations to ensure smooth service.
  • Follow proper dish presentation and side-dish arrangement for all dishes.
